I think he was under control. (Not carried over by her beauty). At the same time I felt, he was feeling guilty of faking love with an innocent girl. (Specially when she was speaking about missing her Abbu on each of her birthdays, his eyes were heavy). Still he carried on his act with a heavy heart, reminding himself about the words he gave to his wife again and again.
He knows she is innocent. He is feeling bad for using her. But he is bound by his blind promise. When Arzoo comes to know he just manipulated her (or that he is married) and when she will back off, his heart would cry silently as he would not let anyone (including Arzoo) know, what he actually felt for her. What I liked that scene for the Harshad's guilt and sad expression with subtlety. But I think, this subtlety is what keeping TRP audience away, as most of the time characters are loud and over the top in expression.

so I looked at this episode twice and I did not get the feeling he lost control...he knew what he was doing all the time...it showed everytime arzoo pulled away he did not pull her in a loving way...even if there were no spoilers you always got the impression he was a man with a mission...what give it away was when samaira called and ask how much time he needs he did not hesitate to say 4-5hrs...that was the repulsive part of sahir...if even he had true feelings for arzoo he would have hesitated at some point in time but all the emotions he displayed was almost as if arzoo was waiting to long to say she is in love with him...his plan was slowly backfiring on him...another giveaway was the tone he was to say arzoo nausheen khan I love you it was not romantic at all...it was actually cold and lack feelings so yes he was in full control and tried to make arzoo lose control but he failed...I am really disappointed in him with that behaviour...and in the end when arzoo said no she don't love him all h could think about was zeenet the deal and zaki...when at that point if he was out of control his mind would be focus on arzoo...so yes the pre cap arzoo will let him know about the 50 shades of gray...the problem with this show it has been dragging with sahir and arzoo by now nothing major has happen other than a MU and this was suppose to be a romantic seen and I did not get the feeling...I was quite disappointed...and I will not blame the spoilers because if the scenes are good you watch the episode over and over...meri aashiqui is a good example how to speed a story and get to the point and I really don't like Ekta kapoors stories but she also has yeh dil suna raha which is also good so 4lions need to be more creative...
I always remember ek mutthi aasmaan the fans wanted raghav and kalpi to get married and the writers played with the characters and the actors and the show came to a sudden close...because they separated raghav and kapli for to long...so it would be a matter of time if sahir and arzoo take to long to be together...the show is already struggling but the stories are dragging...they need to give viewers something to look forward to but this episode was a poor attempt of that because they did not allow him to loose control...
