The days went by, Riddhima was coming back to her normal self but her behavior was changing a little bit towards Armaan, which was very much awkward for Armaan. But Armaan's mind was only clouded with Jiya's thoughts. He didn't know when she had become one of the most important people of his life. He started considering her as a very close friend. He likes her simplicity and caring nature.

It was friendship day; everyone was busy in wishing each other. Riddhima, Jiya and Muskaan too came there in the college ground where everybody was celebrating friendship day. They heard Armaan's voice from the stage where band was playing friendship songs and all the heads turn into the direction and found him with a guitar in his hands.

"hey guys...A very happy friendship day to you all...hum har saal yeh day sab saath mein manaate hai...aur aj mai yeh day apni uss nayi dost ke saath manana chahta hu jo kehne ko mere saath iss college mein 3 years se hai...par dosti ka matlab humne ab jana hai...Riddhima...Thanku so much for being such a wonderful friend to me...!! Iss college ke pehle din...maine wo ladki dekhi jo yaha sabmein sabse alag thi...jiski ek muskurahat kisi ka bhi din khoobsurat bana sakti hai..." Armaan came down from stage and move towards Riddhima while saying "Jo ladki khud ke bare mein kabhi nahi sochegi lekin dusro ki help ke liye hamesha aayegi...aur iss college ki sabse akkdu ladki bhi hai..." he laughed while seeing her pout face and continued "heheh sorry...but haan...but wo ladki jo mujhse takkar le sakti hai...wo koi normal ladki nahi hai...aur isliye mai kehta aaya hu ki tum thodi abnormal toh ho.."

"Armaan mai maarugi tumhe...tum mujhe taunt maar rahe ho ya compliment de rahe ho.." Riddhima said while getting angry.

"Arre,...naraaz mat ho...Aj ke din bhi ladaai karni hai kya...ya phir phir se friendship day ko enemy day banana hai tumhe..." Armaan said while sighing

"Tum na kabhi nahi sudhar sakte...ek number ke nautanki ho...huhh.." Riddhima said while laughing while Armaan came near her and gave her a friendly hug, Whereas Riddhima felt as if she was melting in his arms. After a month she had felt her old Armaan's presence. She was so happy to know about her importance in his life but sad too as he take her not more than as a friend. But still it was the best day of her life.

Armaan moved out of hug and Muskaan took a black cloth and tied on Riddhima's eyes while she was scared for a minute but then Armaan asked her to be calm it's just a surprise. All the people present their move in college hall knowing Armaan had planned a surprise there for Riddhima as they had become friends. Every single person present there was really happy for them. They moved inside the hall where lights were closed. Armaan opened that black cloth from her eyes.

"Armaan...ye...aandhera..." Riddhima was saying that when suddenly lights were on and she was shocked. The wall was decorated beautifully with balloon and different shades of roses each having significance of friendship. In the center of the hall there was a round table decorated beautifully on which a big cake was kept which was covered with chocolate cream roses. Armaan knew Riddhima loves chocolate like anything. He took her to the cake and asked through eyes to see in front. When she saw where was Armaan asking her to see she was shocked beyond her limits. A projector was placed and there was a screen on the wall on which a movie was playing.

It was not a normal movie. First slide was showing Happy friendship day written and also there was written "Only for you My Forever Enemy & Friend till Eternity". Riddhima was having tears as the slide was changing and showing Riddhima's childhood pictures and then her first day in college where she was fighting with Armaan, their first basketball match which Riddhima won, there fight in classroom, their bets on several situations, playing pranks on each other and then finally the day they become friends, then a group picture including Jiya, Riddhima's picture in salwar suit which she had wear in college for the first time and many more. Last slide showed written

"Will you be my Forever best friend...Will u be there for me every time I need my best friend...will you share my all happiness...will you share all your sorrows with me...will u promise me to smile always in every situation...will be my one and only best friend...?"

By the time tears from her eyes were flowing uncontrollably where as all their friends were hooting and clapping for them. Armaan turned to Riddhima and took out his mobile and captured her picture and said "lo...iss movie mein yeh bhi include ho gayi...by the way..tum roti vi bohot horrible lagti hao...heeheh ouch...maar kyu rahi ho..." Riddhima hugged him instantly and said "thank you so much Armaan for this wonderful surprise...I had never thought that my idiotic enemy can do such things for his best friend..!! Yeah I will be your best friend till my last breath...and will never ever leave your side. I promise Armaan mallik...! "

They parted and Armaan offered her knife to cut the cake but instead of taking knife from him she hold his hand and they both cut the cake and fed each other. Armaan then fed Rahul and Riddhima fed Muskaan wishing them. They both have their group hug when they heard Jiya's voice from stage.

"heyy guys...mai bhi kuch kehna chahti hu...yeh mera ap sabke saath pehla friendship day hai...but maine aj tak aisa special surprise nahi dekha...but phir bhi mai bhi apne new best friend se kuch kehna chahti hu...aur mujhe lagta hai isse better atmosphere mujhe phir nahi milega...Armaan..Please come on the stage." Jiya said while looking towards Armaan.

Armaan smiled at her and moved from the group hug they were sharing and step up on the stage. Riddhima was feeling upset as it was there special moment but now again same thing was happening. Tears were still brimming in her eyes but this time they have some fear too.

"Kya baat hai jiya.." Armaans said standing in front of her.

Jiya sat on her knees before him and said "Armaan...Jis din se maine tumhe dekha hai...jis din se tumhari aankhon ko padha hai...jis din se tumhara saath mila hai...meri zindagi mujhe puri lagne lagi hai..."

She stood on her legs and came closer to him and continued "Meri puri life tumhare saath bitana chahti hu mai Armaan...apni zindagi ka har ek pal tumhare saath jeena chahti hu...I am in love with you Armaan...I love you..." And with that she hugged him tightly. Armaan was smiling and was happy beyond his limits. He too hugged her tightly. Till now he was confused with the feeling of more than attraction but hearing her confession he knew she is the one and finally he said " I love you too Jiya...I love you so much...mai bhi tumse bohot pyaar karne laga hu...I can't live without you.." Armaan confessed his feelings. They both were hugging each other.

Everyone was shocked first as they expected Armaan and Riddhima to be a couple but then whole hall erupt in clapping and hooting. All of them were happy except for three people. Rahul and Muskaan were still in shocked with Jiya's step of proposing Armaan...where as Riddhima was shocked out of her senses. She took some steps back and ran out the hall. They both came down the stage and everyone started congratulating them. Muskaan too moved out without saying anything while Rahul faked his happiness for them.

The party continued in the hall everyone was dancing and enjoying as it was evening by now. Rahul excused himself from the party and went to have a check on Riddhima and Muskaan.

Riddhima reached in the ground and started crying sitting on her knees. She was shouting looking at the sky and was only saying "mera pehle pyaar adhura reh gaya...mera pehle pyaar adhura reh gaya...i hate you Armaan...kyu aaye tum meri life mein...i hate you...Kyu mujhe pyaar huya tumse...kyu maine khud ko tumhari aankhon mein kho diya...kyu nahi dekh payi ki tumne mujhse kabhi pyaar kiya hee nahi tha..." And she cried her heart out bitterly.

Muskaan and Rahul reached there in search of her and saw her crying so bitterly. By now Muskaan was also having tears in her eyes seeing her best friend in so much pain. She said to Rahul "Yeh sab hamari wajah se huya hai Rahul...kaash hum ridzy ko uske pyaar ka ehsaas dilate hee nahi...toh yeh sab nahi hota...aj meri ridzy puri tuth gayi hai...uska pehle pyaar..." She also started crying where as Rahul consoled her and said "Muskaan yeh hamari galti nahi hai...kabhi na kabhi yeh hona tha..par jaruri hai abi ridzy ko sambhalna...chal"

They both made her stand when Muskaan hugged her and Rahul giving her a brother's shoulder to cry on. They took her to their room. By the time they made her sit on the bed her eyes were dark red and swollen; her eyes no more have tears in them.

"Riddhima tum think ho...riddhima mera vishwas karo...armaan ko abhi tak apni feelings samajh mein nahi ayi hai...aur" Rahul was cut in between by Riddhima.

"Ab isse koi fark nahi padhta Rahul...rishta doh (two) dilo ke beech mein banta hai...jab ek dil hee nahi hoga toh wo kaisa rishta hoga...meri hee galti hai ..maine kuch jyada hee umeed laga rakhi thi...par dekho...ab sab khatam..." Riddhima said while her face shows no trace of emotions.

Rahul left from there leaving everything on Muskaan as right now she is the only one who can console her.

Muskaan tried hard to make her understand but she was too stubborn now to listen anything. But she decided one thing that she will never break her promise of being a best friend to Armaan. She will never ever let him know about her feelings and about her broken heart. She will be that happy-go-lucky Riddhima in front of him.

Unknown to them whole conversation was listened by someone standing outside the door as the door was ajar (half open).

One month passed everything was changed. Muskaan and Rahul have made distance with Armaan as whenever they both tried to talk to Armaan about his relation with Jiya he didn't understand and they end up having a fight. Armaan was happy with Jiya. They both were busy in their new life together. Armaan felt happy and lucky at the same time because he knew whatever the situation is Riddhima will always support him. Riddhima was happy for Armaan, However she was badly broken from inside. Her heart was broken into so many pieces, but still she managed to look happy in front of him.

It was another day when they all were sitting in canteen, talking about the college prom night and dance competition which will be done between the couples participating in it.

"Rahul...mujhe yeh competition jeetna hee hai...samjha tu...aj hee name likhwa tu aur hum practice start karenge..samjha.." Muskaan said ordering him.

"Arre oye...mai tere saath prom night par nahi aa raha...hamesha ki tarah embarrass hone padega faltu..." Rahul said while provoking her...

"Rahul ke bachhe...tujhe toh na mai chodugi nahi...last time bas galti ho gayi thi..meri drink mein kuch mila diya tha kisi ne...ab ismein maine kya kara...haan thode logo ko mara hee toh .." Muskaan said cutely while others chuckled.

Riddhima was sitting there all quiet. Armaan was watching her closely. He doesn't know why but sometimes he feels that Riddhima was only faking her smile and something was there hidden behind this smile. He knew very well that she was faking her smile and emotions as Riddhima's eyes are so expressive that she can't hide anything. Armaan was brought back from his thoughts by Jiya's voice

"Ammy..mujhe bhi part lena hai...tum hamara name bhi likhwa do na...please.." Jiya said while holding his hand where as he was stealing glances at Riddhima's face from corner of his eyes. He didn't know why but he was feeling something odd. He decided to spend some time with her to know the real reason behind this. So he said "ummm Jiya..wo actually har saal mere aur Riddhima mein yeh competition hota aaya hai...chahe hamare partners koi bhi ho... iss saal mai soch raha tha ki mai Riddhima ke saath dance karu..." Armaans said looking towards riddhima whom was already looking at him with shocked expression.

"par ammy.." Jiya was cut by Armaan

"please jiya...tum kisi aur ke saath chali jaana...aj tak main aur Riddhima is competition mein enemies ki tarah hee mille hai...par mai ab apni best friend ka saath dena chahta hu...bolo Riddhima...dogi mera saath...aj take ek dusre ke against ladhte aaye hai...aj ek baar saath ho kar bhi dekh lete hai...tumne hee kaha tha na...dushmani karke dekh li hai...ab dosti karke bhi dekh lete hai...bolo" Armaan asked with utmost sincerity in his voice.

Riddhima nodded in a yes as she too wanted some time with him. She knew only few months are left and they will be separated for years so she only wanted to spend these last moments with him. On the other side Jiya was fuming in anger. Jiya also considers Riddhima as a very good friend but whenever it is about Armaan she became a possessive girlfriend. She didn't like Armaan's closeness with any other girl.

They gave their names for the prom night and decided to start with the practice as it was just after 4 days. Jiya also paired up with some other friend as she too wants to participate and apart from that she wants to show Riddhima that she is better.

Armaan Riddhima Muskaan and Rahul move towards a room which was allotted to them for practice. It was a quite big hall so Rahul and Muskaan took half hall to practice where as Armaan and Riddhima took other half. Riddhima was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't listen to what Armaan was saying.

"Riddhima...basket...B..A..S...K..E..T..." Armaan shouted near her ear. She was brought back in present by Armaan's voice. She asked him "Kya huya Armaan chilla kyu rahe ho..."

"Arre..toh tum pta nahi kiske khayalo mein ho...kabse bula raha hu..sun hee nahi rahi ho..."

"wo..bas aise he..kuch nahi..achha btao..kaunsa song choose kare.."

"umm main soch raha tha ki koi romantic aur fast karte hai..." Armaan said looking in her eyes.

Riddhima was feeling little awkward so she move her gaze to CD's and said yeh wala karte hai..pyaar ki ye kahaani suno..yeh mera favorite hai..." she said making his smile go wide.

"tumahra favorite hai..phir toh hum yahi karenge...chalo.."

They stood up started the song and decided salsa steps with each tune and lyrics. Four days went like a wind. They have enjoyed a lot in these four days. Riddhima after so many days have laughed and smiled from her heart. Muskaan and Rahul were really happy that at least Armaan has not forgotten her. Somewhere they knew Armaan had done all this on a purpose. Rahul know that from some days he was feeling that Riddhima was hiding something. On the other hand, Armaan was happy from the core of his heart because he wanted to bring back Riddhima's smile and finally he succeeded.

During practice many a times Riddhima was lost in his eyes but she recovered soon as she did not intend to let know Armaan anything about her behavior or anything. It was last day of their practice when Armaan asked Riddhima to close her eyes as he wanted to give her something.

"Kya hai armaan...aur kitni der aakhein band rakhni hai..." Riddhima asked getting irritated.

"Arrer bas basket ho gaya...lo kholo aankhein..."

She looks towards Armaan in confusion but then she look towards his hands holding a square gifted box. She took the box in her hand and opened it. As soon as she saw what it was she gave him a big smile directly from heart and not able to control she hugged him. Armaan was taken aback but then he thought it as a friendly hug. He was feeling something new because of her touch but he shrugged away the thoughts and asked Riddhima about gift.

"bohot achha hai Armaan...isse main hamesha apne paas rakhugi...Thank you so much.." She said smiling. Actually it was a Glass photo frame in which their picture from friendship day was there and on top it was written "BFF" that means Best Friends Forever.

"Wo actually yeh main tumhe friendship day par dena chahta tha but mujhe iske liye koi picture nahi milli isliye nahi de paya. Chalo ab chalte hai...kal final hai...jaao rest karo...good night..." Armaan said with concern. Riddhima nodded and they both went to their rooms.

Next day everyone entered in the prom night which was organized in a big hall. It was all decorated with red and white curtains and red and white balloons. Lightening was done all over. Everyone was dressed in a dress code in which girls have to wear red and boys have to wear black. Armaan Rahul and jiya were standing in one corner waiting for Riddhima and Muskaan. Jiya was dressed in one piece and was looking stunning. Suddenly Rahul saw them coming and told Armaan about their arrival Armaan turn into the direction and was freeze. He saw Riddhima wearing a frock-style one piece which comes down to her knees. She wore minimal make-up and her hairs were left open in curls. She was looking gorgeous. No one was able to take off their eyes from her.

As she walks towards them she felt a strong gaze of someone. She lifted her eyelids to see Armaan who was just staring at her. She too checked him out as he was looking handsome and dashing in red shirt and black pant with a black 2 piece suit. When she reached their Armaan complimented her. She too complimented him back and was blushing.

The competition started. Many couples have performed their dances. Now it was chance of last couple. Armaan and Riddhima's name was announced. They both move in center of the hall. All lights were turned off except one spot-light which was on them. The song started playing and they matched their moves with it.

The song ended with loud noises of clapping. They perform very well. The results were announced and yeah it was Armaan and Riddhima who won. They both move towards stage and took the trophy together. They both were so happy that they hugged each other and move down. Everyone congratulated them. Riddhima was really very happy. Her happiness was reflected through her eyes. She was feeling satisfied. She only wished that the moment never last. She was re-calling her every move with Armaan, his every touch, their every eye-lock, everything. But little did she know that this happiness was only for few moments.
