Forget his escapades in Dhoom 3, Siddharth Nigam has gone several steps above and beyond with his escape as Rudra in Mahakumbh.
As told to us yesterday, this is something above and beyond the understanding of the human knowledge. it's about acquiring a power, owning a power, and becoming immortal maybe for the evil benefits of those wanting power. And the tattoo on Rudra's back is proof of that. This is something much more than simply a tattoo. It's about something inside Rudra.
His great escape and the simple smile between him and his adoptive father spoke more than anything. It tells you that Rudra has a great strength unknown to anyone except himself. And he has a great strength to take on anyone and anything as long as he has some people beside him who care for him and can let him feel that nothing is impossible. Yet he's still broken. Even before his real life has started something inside him has broken as is evident from the pain in his eyes that doesn't leave even when he smiles.
The love in his Mai's eyes is so evident when she can't even let herself look at the bhindi and then when her son comes back (yes her son) she runs to greet him before he can even get off the boat. Those few seconds feel like centuries. It feels like they're finally meeting after eons. But it's the pain on seeing the handcuffs that is more evident then the love. It tells her why he's broken, why he's hurt, why he didn't hug her back, why he didn't affectionately call her Mai, why he just stood there like a statue. Her anger at the pandit was more than just an anger. It was a fire. And that fire came out when with one hit she broke both handcuffs. And when they came off, that's when you see the love and care come out through the fire in her eyes. Seema Biswas is indeed a splendid actor.
The evil power. There are 2 shows on Life OK that I watch nowadays. One is Pukaar - The Call For the Hero and the other is this. And in both the evil is larger than life, confident, strong, and is almost undefeatable (yes I know that's not a word, but still). That's exactly the same with Swami. He's a strength in himself. He's undefeatable. He's confident, maybe even over-confident. His body language says more than his words, yet his words are also something that are seemingly from another planet.
And now for 12 years both parties will live separate lives.
And the precap shows what happens when he tries to get rid of the tattoo. That shows that it's not just a tattoo, but something more than it.
