The episode opens on a sea with some eerie, horror settings. A girl is out on the lake in a boat with her 2 friends who are going to a friend's yacht. One of the friends, Hritik, is about to tell Nisha that he loves her when a foghorn sounds and they see a fishing boat where a girl is shot and falls into the water. Then another guy is shot and falls into the water as well. Suddenly the guy reaches their boat.
A little later, 3 friends are out searching for Hritik, Uday, and Nisha. The boatman refuses to go ahead saying that after this they'll die because there are aatmas in that part and their friends will never come back alive from there. One friend refuses to listen and the boatman jumps into the water and leaves. The 3 friends go ahead. They see something and when they reach the person it turns out to be Uday. They grab him and pull him onto the boat. He's alive. But they aren't able to find Hritik and Nisha.
Uday tells Daya and Sachin that this was Hritik's plan so he could tell Nisha that he loves her. He tells them about the girl and guy being shot. He continues that the fisherman who was shot reached their boat and then someone pulled them into the water and when he woke up he was in the hospital. Meera, one of the search party friends, tells them that Mangu told them that the sea is haunted.
Daya, Sachin, Freddy, Purvi, and Mayur reach Mangu's home to meet Mangu. Daya asks if he took some people to the sea. Mangu agrees. Daya asks what happens in the Khooni Dariya area. Mangu says that 2 years ago Raghu, a fisherman, from their area went out to that area in his boat and drowned and died. Since then his aatma has been in that area. Daya says we'll meet him tonight then.
The 5 officers are out on Khooni Dariya at that time. Freddy is still scared of aatmas. At this time they see a white boat that's empty. Daya sees blood and Purvi sees Help Me on the boat. Then they hear a foghorn and see a boat. The same act of a girl and Raghu being shot plays out. Sachin pulls out his gun, but Daya stops him. Freddy sits down and Raghu grabs his hand and pulls him into the water. Sachin jumps into the water and with help from Purvi and Mayur gets him out of the water. Then they realize that Daya is missing. Sachin thinks that Daya went after the boat. They start going after the boat yelling for Daya as he climbs onto the boat.
Abhijeet asks Nik if anything has been found about the boat, but they don't know anything yet. Abhijeet is worried for Daya. Shreya says that they found out that Raghu suddenly got a lot of money in the last 5 years. Abhijeet wonders if he won a lottery. Shreya says we don't know, but Raghu had started running his own fishing business in the last 5 years and was exporting fish. Then 2 years ago he and his wife were shot and killed. The police investigated the case, but nothing came out of it. She adds that all the money disappeared and people say that the people working for him committed the crime. Abhijeet says it's a good story made by the murderer and now they'll get their answers from Raghu's boat.
Sachin, Nik, Shreya, and Vansh reach the seaside and find Raghu's boat. They search it carefully. Sachin asks a man if he has ever seen this boat move, but the man says that for the past 2 years it hasn't gone anywhere. Nik thinks that another boat was made to look like this one. Then Shreya receives a call that Daya has been found.
In the hospital Abhijeet awakens Daya who asks who it is. Abhijeet looks surprised, but says it is Abhijeet, your friend. Then Daya asks if they can hear the lady crying. Purvi and Freddy are also very concerned. The doctor stops them from bothering Daya and then he tells Abhijeet that Daya was given a drug because of which people start hallucinating. Purvi says that the chemical must be in the fog. Abhijeet thanks the fisherman, Ramesh, for saving Daya.
In flashback, Ramesh tells his friend off for saying that there is a difference between girls and boys. (Well played scene FW. Well-played. 👏) Then they see Daya in the distance floating on the water. They go over to him and find him alive.
Back in the present, Abhijeet thanks Ramesh again and he leaves. Purvi wonders why they weren't affected by the chemical. Abhijeet thinks that maybe Daya went closer to the boat than they did. Freddy muses that maybe Hritik and Nisha also went too close to the boat.
Out in the sea, Abhijeet is sending divers to check underwater. Nik says that the divers didn't find anything either. Shreya points out the area still left to be searched. Abhijeet thinks that this is something else. Then Abhijeet sees something and asks for binoculars. He says that Daya was mentioning an island and that's what he sees.
Abhijeet, Shreya, Nik, and Vansh are on the island. They start searching it. Shreya sees something and calls out for Abhijeet. She points out an area which was recently dug up. Nik and Vansh start digging in the area. They find Hritik and Nisha's bodies, who were stabbed multiple times. Abhijeet says that the aatmas are all a story so that illegal work can be carried out. Abhijeet says that we'll find out what this is tonight.
At night the 4 are waiting for the boat. Nik is getting impatient and Abhijeet tells him that a person with patience can't be a CID officer. At that time the foghorn sounds and the boat arrives. They all settle down to watch the act. Raghu reaches the boat and the 4 catch him. He laughs when they say that they're going to get his gang. Abhijeet starts laughing at that. Abhijeet puts on a mask and says that you handle him and I'll handle his gang. He jumps into the water and swims after the boat. Abhijeet reaches the boat and catches the gang with a gun in each hand. They start asking for forgiveness.
The man says that they are actors and were given money to scare away people. Abhijeet asks who killed Hritik and Nisha. They blame the man who paid them to be aatmas.
In the morning, a group of men are smuggling some items. A man is getting into his car when Abhijeet kicks him out and the other officers also catch the rest of the men. Shreya shows Abhijeet that they are smuggling drugs in the fish. The man agrees that they killed Raghu and his wife on their boss's orders. Abhijeet asks him where their boss is.
Mr. Goga is meeting with the boss and it turns out to be Uday and his father. Mr. Goga likes the quality of their product, but he refuses to pay their huge price. At this time, Abhijeet, Shreya, Nik, and Vansh reach their boat with the announcement that it's CID. A boat chase starts along with a gunfight. Everyone is caught. Uday reveals that he killed Hritik and Nisha because he loved Nisha, but she still wanted to marry Hritik. Abhijeet delivers the final punishment dialogue.
Later, at night, another couple are out in the sea when a foghorn sounds and a boat appears. The episode ends at this point.
Note:
- For the first time I have no words or comments. The episode is really good. I loved it. Forget the case, the episode itself was great.
- Daya and Abhijeet were the highlights of the episode, both separately and together.
- The way the actors were caught was a splendidly played out scene.
- The one scene I commented on was well-handled. I like how FW gave that social message through the episode and it wasn't the CID officer giving the message.
- I didn't like the ending though. I wished there was another duo scene instead.
