Mr ram sharma and mrs aasha sharma belong to a middle-class family.They work in wadhwa group of industries and are a family to the wadhwas.They are parents of kumkum sharma.

Kumkum is sitting besides the window of her room,lost in her own thoughts.Tears can be seen rolling down her cheeks.Her angelic face is tear-stained.She is interrupted by a voice.....

Aasha(her mother)-kumkum....

She swiftly wipes off her tears so that she's not seen by her mother in such a state...She changes her facial emotions.

Aasha-beta cofee..

Kumkum -thanx maa(in a faint voice).....

Aasha-Thanx kumkum.....ye faisla lene ke liye.....tune hamesha se hi apne parivar ke liye zindagi ji hai...aur aaj bhi tune ye faisla lekar hamein ek nayi zindagi di hai....bhagwaan tujhe hamesha khush rakhe....

She leaves.Kumkum is in tears on hearing all this....

kumkum-maine apne parivar ke liye ye faisla le to liya hai....lekin kya main kabhi is faisle ko apna paoongi...meri zindagi main maine har faisla apne dil ki baat mankar kiya liya hai....par aaj mera dil hi mera faisla jhutla raha hai....aakhir kaise bholaoon wo beetey lamhe...wo din...kaise bhulaoon sab kuch....kaise...

She goes to her wardrobe and takes out a diary and starts reading it........


Sumit's room:

Sumit is pacing up and down.He's confused...in a state of "what and what not to do".
Kul enters.

Kul-sumit beta.....i am proud of you....not only me...hamara poora parivar naaz karta hai tum par...hamein yakeen tha tum par aur tumne hamare yakeen ko sach sabit kar diya....thanx.
