It is among top 10 shows on TV!
And top in UK.

It won 7 awards till now at SPA, ITA, ITAA.

Still media is ignoring it?😲

EHT and its actors are not even nominated in itimes year end poll of best of TV.

Rival site Tellychakkar mentioned even flop shows but did not mention EHT in list of best shows of the year.

Why such a royal ignore to this show?

They are not even nominating it in polls or lists!

DKDM is ending and it is still getting coverage. We have interviews of its cast and crew.
Whereas EHT team has only tweeted on their own but had no interviews or articles published in media.

This is very unfair!

Maybe the Media is also Miffed at Star Flush for ending this show prematurely and are showing their ire through ignoring them "Royally"

The Channel has to be told some way, I guess.

I especially bought GR8 magazine this month hoping to find good coverage on this show as it won so many awards. But they too just wrote few paras on winners.
No exclusive pics or interviews as winners. No pic of them posing with their trophy!

Otherwise winners were taken backstage for special photo shoot where they posed with their trophies!

Why? They instead published gazillion pics of Kapil and CNWK team!

EHT not there in Tellychakkar list of best shows of 2014. Shocking but not really surprising, considering the names of the shows in that list.
I think I know the reason.

EHT portrays two extremely intelligent women engaged in a battle of wits, its abt a woman from modest background coming back to take revenge from an extremely powerful, dangerous and charismatic wealthy woman!
That is not acceptable according to the norms of Indian TV culture.

Women have to be weak, clinging, dependant, emotional, vulnerable, suffering abuse still loving her abuser, expected to accept injustices and wait for redemption, and so on.

Its the men who can engage in such "manly" endeavors as taking revenge, engaging in an intense battle of wits, and so on.

If EHT was a Bollywood movie it would have fared better and earned critical appreciation as well. Movie goers nowadays have become more conscious of good story, good acting and appreciate female oriented movies with strong female characters.

But Tellywood is still stuck in the doldrums. Thats why sickening regressive shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Sasural Simar Ka, Madhubala are in the list but EHT is not!

That's bad. I am also seeing that EHT does not get the coverage it deserves. Not many interviews of the star cast. Ideally when a show is wrapping up media coverage on the experience on the actor has to be there. But we don't see many.
Strongest reason is what Pallavi mentioned. it is not only about a woman who comes from a modest background to take revenge, it is also about a woman who from the streets have become the most powerful and most fearful lady in Kolkatta by her own merit.
Both the woman of EHT are powerful and have a mind of their own which is still not acceptable in TV world I feel
And I feel to some extent the depiction of male lead also had a part to play in it. I guess Dev should have made Durga vulnerable, he should have made Durga forgive his family, make her agree to marry Payal to Shaurya as that is the most honorable thing to do for the raped girl. Dev didn't do any of these and he was about punishing Shaurya which I guess didn't go well with the traditional audience who expects the male of the family to behave in the above mentioned fashion.
Well 2 strong female leads and a male lead not completely adhering to the stereotype definition of a tellyhero has made media ignore it I feel.

Bcoz of sanjeeda sheikh and vatsal seth's behaviour sbs team started ignoring EHT. They said they were invited on the EHT sets by production house but both these actors behaved badly with them
They were not interested in giving interviews so production house were trying there best to promote the show but these two were showing attitude and vatsal seth was talking badly with media he proved that day that Salman is his role model 🤢
And sbs team said that she is the same sanjeeda who used to call sbs team 'mere dastaan show k set par aiye coverage k liye'
But here star plus show ek haseena thi' s success made her rude and arrogant and after that incident sbs team decided to ignore EHT show infact when they covered the ITA awards celebration on EHT sets they didn't take any body's interview.
So we can't fully blame the media people.

Star Plus is I guess more powerful than any other channels in India. If Star plus do not give importance to the show so I guess it's because of that maybe? Plus this show does not have a "love" track or a "charming and smart" hero so why would any one give importance to such shows? 😵
