Yup, there HAS to be a "hot" hero who takes his shirt off at the drop of a hat! 😆

There has to be either lots of romantic scenes, heroine falling in hero's arms and eyelocks, heroine getting injured, hero lifting her up and so on...OR there has to be saas bahu scenes, saas misbehaving with bahu, bahu crying and saying, Maaji, Bhagwan ke liye meri baat sun leejiye 😭 and so on...

Then only Star Plus will promote that show and extend it forever.

I agree with shrutiravi.

The characters are too strong, powerful and know their mind. They are smart women taking on the world themselves both in positive and negative ways. They are not just mohalla chaap bimbos fighting over amount of salt in food.

Indian TV has not seen women as strong as Durga and Sakshi in decades. Hence an ideological bias here.

Then a man like Rajnath who gets overpowered easily and a man like Dev who is letting heroine be and not forcing her to forgive devar ji are unpalatable to patriarchal desi TV consumers.

Maybe it would be in top shows list if Sakshi was leashed by Rajnath and Durga married Shaurya or Payal married him and they tried to work on reforming him!🤢 And they only had to fight over what to cook in dinner!😡

I also agree with Perfect100. I think controversies of EHT stars with SBS and other media might have led to this bias as well.😕

Meghasharma is also right. There has to be some huge problem between PH and Star Plus. This is wht SP stopped promoting EHT, and other TV portals are also not promoting it. Producer kept tweeting against channel all of last month!😲 He rallied fans to start Save EHT trend and make noise on Twitter. Earlier FB posts of writer also sound frustrated. Only now they have given up and moved on to new projects.

I wonder if EHT will have any farewell party or episode or not. Pyar ka dard hai had a wonderful farewell episode in end with whole cast.

ITimes dot com nominated even flop shows in their poll but not EHT.

IF Tellybuzz, TellyExpress etc do not even publish any article on it. Gr8 gave them awards but didn't do winners' photo feature with them. Very bad.😕

I had said a long time ago that SP has problems with this PH. Thats why they were not promoting the show and high-handedly decided to end the serial 3 months before its time was over.

SP favors the more successful, big banners like Mittals, Rajan Shahi, Ekta's Balaji and Rashmi Sharma.

But scriptwriter is also to blame for not sticking to his original idea and main revenge plot and diverting to wedding drama. For ignoring many of the culprits involved in Payal's case.

Viewers cannot be blamed as EHT was getting and is still getting quite high TRPs.

Star does seem to have problem. But what happened?

Earlier EHT had the grandest promotion for a TV show. Hoardings everywhere, live events at different cities, online promotions etc.

What happened after June?

I think wedding drama was induced at behest of Star. They wanted changes in story.

I still wonder why SP didn't bother about EHT despite awards it won!

Guys i don't think that the channel has any problem with the production house.
Either it's Zee or Star plus they always promote their long running saas-bahu type shows and make us dissapoint.

@Anu Exactly SP might have wanted changes in story as TRP of EHT was not great despite the promotions. But maybe PH was not willing to bend beyond a point.

They might have agreed for the wedding drama but not for teary eyed Durga trying to hide her identity or war between Suchitra and Durga or Shaurya trying to molest Durga and whole family against her or as I said earlier Payal-Dev love story etc etc..

So things didn't go as expected and SP decided to end the show as they can call the shots. But you cant say SP completely ignored. Post the rise in TRP they brought back the repeat as well as a Maha Movie. But all in all story was not for a channel like SP

EHT is not nominated in Big Star Entertainment Awards this year. I had thought it would get a nomination being an SP show but it didn't.

Tellychakkar is weird. It included Sanjeeda in Female Faces of the year but didn't include EHT in best shows nor mentioned any male EHT actor in Male Faces of the Year.

Media is being stingy in giving any due to EHT.

I just mean it in good humor, but sadly, it IS true,

'India ki general janta ka IQ bohot low hai'

Good, fast paced, devoid of cliched romance dramas are apparently not the likes of Television viewers.

Give them a love story and they'll rank up the show no matter how bad the plot, characters or the acting is.

Well, that's just MY POV.

You said cold, hard, bitter truth.

Not even love stories! They just like stupid saas bahu or mohalla drama with women bickering over what to cook, who to marry or taking abuse from men. SNS type show running for 5 years shows standard of audience!
