Hi all. This is a whimsical look at what happened today. But before that, one message for Gaurav's fans... Star one is re telecasting Dil Kya Chahta hai... i caught what i think was the first episode today... its on air at 8 30...Wanted to post about it and wished that its section had not been archived đ... Teena, the episode was about the heart going 'boom'... i saw it and immediately thought of you đ
Also, on a completely different note, i see this ticker tape as i am writing this post... and it tells me that Ingmar Bergman is dead... i have seen two films of his, both different from each other and been very impressed... here's wishing peace to him and hoping for more such directors and more interesting films.
To come back to lrl, i missed the conversation between Gehlot and Nair since i was explaining the story of lrl to a friend who's come to stay with me.... and her reactions of absolute disbelief, her expressions and her comments have made my day!
So the cadets are going to apologise to Abhimanyu.... the collective IQ of all these cadets cannot run into double digits... they absolutely cannot think for themselves. Thats all that i can say for them.
Another thing... why is murder trauma for the murderer in this show and not for the murdered ever?... Rohit may have cheated Pooja and been a traitor, but does that mean that he had no right to live?... how can the show take murder so lightly?... ok it was murder in self defence but it was murder nevertheless.... and it was not a war situation, so saying 'i'm a fauji' does not justify it... and now someone has discovered that a man was killed and what does she do?... make the killer feel better by unburdening his heart... who made all these people gods to decide who has the right to live and who hasn't?
To come to Gaurav's scenes, he first opens the door and sees the letter left for him... its just a piece of paper and you do not know whats inside, so it need not have been a significant or profound moment.... but this is television and Abhimanyu is upset, toh paper ko bhi dekhega toh intensity se dekhega... so that had to be like that.
The next scene was when he reads it... ek toh the letter was stupidly written (i rest my case about the IQ)... he read it in a calm and weary voice, which was how it should have been read.... but it made the stupidity of the writing all the more visible... and then he had this weary look, tired of the whole thing. As i have said in my last post, its not about forgiveness or the lack of it, not about right and wrong... now its simply about getting it over with, of going through the motions.... of playing out whatever one has to play but one's heart not being in it.
And two flashbacks later, the scene was over and done with... and in the recap they've already shown him playing the guitar with them, i.e. they've established that he is not leaving... hope they show a little more of what happens in the interim, that there is an interesting scene tomo.
I'm snappish today... but if there's an interesting scene tomo, i'll go back to being more charitable.
Adios! See ya all tomo.
