We blindly follow the fashion fads our stars create. Whatever they wear becomes a rage, be in on screen or off screen. Nevertheless, sometimes our actresses go horribly wrong on screen. Hideous outfits, weird accessories to awful hairdos they end up making bad style statements. Here are a few examples.
Parineeti in Kill/Dil
Maybe one of the many reasons this film fizzled at the box office! The fashion police left no stones unturned in criticizing Parineeti for her styling in Kill/Dil. For the ones who've watched the film will agree that she has surely put on some extra kilos. Now we're all for curves but not of unflattering attires to go with them.
Rani Mukherji in Tara Rum Pum
We don't even know where to begin. The ridiculous voluminous hair and fringes to the halter neck tops paired with skimpy skirts; Rani's styling in the first half of Tara Rum Pum was beyond hideous. It was tough to believe that this was the same actress in those tacky clothes who'd made color kurtis and patiyala salwaars a nationwide rage with Bunty Aur Babli.
Vidya Balan in Hey Baby and Kismat Konnection
She may have found a friend in the traditional six yards now, but Vidya went through a long phase of being bombarded by the fashion police every time she stepped out of the house or appeared on screen. In Hey Baby and Kismat Konnection the actress played an urban girl and obviously had to don western attires. That led to Vidya dressed in knee length dresses and body hugging apparels that did not transform well on screen. And what added to the woes were her hairstyles. In Kismat Konnection Vidya had cut her hair extremely short. Some critics even made sly remarks saying that she looked more like Shahid's twin rather than his ladylove, courtesy the short step cut hair. Nevertheless, the actress has come a long (very long) way from what her fashion choices used to be.
Priyanka chopra in Krissh
What are the odds that the ladylove of our first superhero be badly dressed? Very high we'd say. We also wonder how Krrish was wooed by Priyanka's oh-so-fake extra long hair, earrings that looked liked the ones picked from the bylanes of Fashion Street and don't even get us started on the outfits. This was by far fashion icon, Priyanka Chopra's worst styling on screen. Ever!
It's hard to believe Deepika Padukone making fashion faux pas right? Well, the actress made a handful of them in her third film Chandani Chowk to China. And the worst part of it all? She was in a double role! The jet-black wig and poker fringes of the Chinese sister and the shimmery one pieces and flashy eye shadows of the Indian twin made us gag and how. Our eyes hurt every time we get a glimpse of her from that flop flick.
