Anurag Kashyap - overrated and to much hype?

It seems like Anurag Kashyap likes to hype up his movies and there is no element of surprise. Bombay Velvet was so eagerly awaited and is now delayed to next year. 😕 But, most of his career has had some milestone gems while others are ones we would like to forget. Do you feel he is overrated? To much hype? 😉 Please share your thoughts.

His movies can be outstanding like DevD or Black Friday or confusing like No Smoking! But he is easily the best director for me right now.
