Hi, Riya here!Back after a while! Finally on vacation for a few days!
So I decided to make this post.
I had some awesome ideas for movie ideas that could be great for Meryl.
So I thought of putting them up here as a poll for you guys to choose from.
If only I could make posters for them, but sadly I'm not good at photo editing.
Anyways, let me know what you think as I list each title and the idea behind it.
Also, I catered to everyone's fave pairs as well đ
1. Sukoon - Meryl & Ranveer Singh
So the story begins with an innocent college going girl, Aarushi Sharma (Meryl). Aarushi has been brought up pompously by her parents in the big city of Mumbai. But even then, she maintains an innocent and adventurous nature. After she graduates from college, she decides to celebrate by going off on her own to Kashmir to travel to the Himalaya mountains. Little does she realize about the dangers that await for her there. Its during the start of the Kargil War, and Aarushi ends up getting captured along with refugees. However, she is rescued by Major Ram Dutta (Ranveer Singh), a dedicated soldier of the Indian army. The General puts upon Ram the duty of protecting Aarushi during the war. During their time together, Ram and Aarushi learn of the dangers of combat, the beauty of life and peace, and most importantly...love.
2. Happy Birthday! - Meryl & Siddharth Malhotra
Story begins with Samrat Singh AKA Sam (Siddharth Malhotra). Samrat is an average guy with one problem...he's boring. While all his friends have girlfriends, he doesn't. While all his friends party and have fun, he works overnight at work. And its these small things that make Samrat wish he had something more fun to expect in life. While working late at night at his office, at the strike of midnight...he realizes its his birthday. But Samrat shrugs it off and knows that nothing great will come out of his birthday even though he wishes he could have fun for once. Once he gets into his car, a girl barges into the car and yells at him to drive. Samrat tells the girl to leave but she threatens to kill him if he doesn't drive. Scared at her attitude, Samrat drives and realizes the girl was being chased by police. And that's Disha (Meryl), a smart, feisty, top class thief who just got away with robbing a jewelry store. Her craziness intimidates Samrat as she's the kind of girl that carries beer, rum, and whiskey bottles stuffed in her jacket. But little does he realize is that its the crazy Disha that will turn him and his birthday into the most life changing thing ever.
3. Oye Masakali! - Meryl & Arjun Kapoor
Story begins in an office in central Delhi. Two people, Ayush Arora( Arjun Kapoor) and Dhruvi Deshmukh (Meryl) are applying for a job in the company. Once they are called in, they come face to face in shock to see each other. They brush each other aside and head into their respective offices for their interviews. What starts as a normal interview turns into a flashback for both of them for the one thing they had in common...their relationship. It all started back in Delhi Honors College where Dhruvi was seen as the most beautiful girl in the college. She wore her simple ghagra cholis paired with her long black hair every day. But inside, she was a feisty girl who spoke her mind. This made Ayush fascinated with Dhruvi and so he gave her the nickname, Masakali. Every encounter with her, Ayush would lovingly call, "Oye Masakali!" and she would reply with backlash like a typical Delhi girl, but she was smitten inside. After several encounters, the two finally fall in love. Once Dhruvi starts to get marriage proposals, Ayush suggests they get married and elope to which Dhruvi agrees. The two head off to Jaipur after getting married and try to start a new life. It grows to be hard as the two have just finished college and have trouble finding jobs to support their housing. And soon, the regular husband-wife problems attack the two in the relationship. And as Ayush and Dhruvi narrate their sides of the story to their interviewers, the interviewers question them as to whether they should end relations based off of petty issues or simply realize that in any relationship, problems and arguments will happen...but love must stay to keep two people connected.
4. Shikayat - Meryl & Varun Dhawan
Reyaansh Rajput AKA Rey (Varun Dhawan) works as an associate manager at Energy Needs Private Limited. The company is all set to introduce its new energy drink which has been made by a new formula for children to drink and encourages stronger endurance levels in kids. Rey appreciates the success of the drink and its appreciation by children across the country. The company soon brings in Sameera Shroff (Meryl) to work for them as a translator so they can interact with energy drink companies in other countries to make their new drink go global. While in the company, Rey falls for Sameera's charms. All seems well until Rey's younger brother dies suddenly with the cause unknown. Rey's mother states the morning when he died, he was coughing up blood and had shown earlier symptoms of sickness prior to the morning. Rey has a suspicion that the cause of his brother's death could be in connection with the energy drink as his brother was constantly drinking it after its release to increase his performance in football. Rey investigates with the help of Sameera and the two find connections the company has in three other countries. What comes next is a journey to these countries for the two where they sought to seek out the truth behind the real intentions of this new invention.
