My cousin is in the same boat. He loves theatrics, but his parents made deal with him. Get a degree, and then he can pursue whatever he wishes. Just have ticket out if you get stuck in life. That degree is your ticket.

Yeah but it's useless to force kids into pursuing things they are not interested in. Again I am just assuming Sara to be wanting to make it in Bollywood. Not sure.

I have been through this parental pressure concerning my education. Hence I sympathize with Sara.

Stubborn??? You have to be kidding me...asking a child to stay in school at 19...is not being stubborn...that is being a good parent...being a smart and concerned parent...Do u not realize how fickle and unpredictable a career in BW is?? What if she meets the fate of Esha Deol?? Not every girl will be then satisfied marrying a rich businessman and settling down as a housewife...what if being unsuccessful in BW and then not having an alternate career takes a toll on her?? Saif as a father must be thinking about everything..he knows Sara better than all of us...and he needs to be appreciated for that ...

He is 100% correct, she shouldn't just leave her education mid-way, she will regret it later and as her father it was his duty to explain that to her. She could be just having one of those moments where you feel you want to do anything but what you are doing, especially at university. It can be stressful at times with exams killing you.

Edit: Later when she finishes her degree all the excitement and happiness will make her realise that it was all worth it in the end. Plus she could be like OMG how did I even want to get into BW.

I graduated in May and I wish I could go back to college already even though I hated it when I was there 😭

Race was a multi starrer! LOL! Saif rarely adds much to Indian cinema, and I'm tired of his fans repeating Being Cyrus, EHT, Parineeta, Omkara etc. he's been around since '92...it's expected from him to have a couple of good works! He tries to think he's inventive, but I find his stuff no different from other bolly works really.

& just like Cocktail performed due to Deepika, Phantom now rests on Katrina and the director as well 😆

I wasn't bringing in those works to defend his current films.

I brought those in when someone said his BEST work is as a side hero. That is incorrect IMO. And hence I brought in EHT, Being Cyrus, Parineeta, Hum Tum, hell even the Sardaar in Love Aaj Kal, just to illustrate that he's given good performances as lead.

Reason why I didn't list Omkara, coz that was a multi starrer.

It's one thing to say fans are overestimate an actor.

Another for others to completely undermine an actor and the fans to bring in and say, hold on, you're trying to say he's never done any good work as a lead. Well what were these?
