Who is the best female debutant since 2010 ?

Ileana's bagging roles very steadily... Alia too got so much success/fame.

One and only alia in terms of what she is today. She has left all the other miles behind

Parineeti in LVRB. She was such a natural. <3

If you mean just the debut film - its ileana. She couldnt have asked for a better film or role.

Once again, what yardstick are we using here?? I had the same argument in the male debut thread.

Shouldn't the best debut be just confined to that very first movie?? What the actress or the actor does after that is irreverent.

The judgment should be IMO, based on how the actor and his first film stack up against the others and just that. In terms of both BO and his/her performance.

Going by that I would have to say Illeana from the list. I have not seen all, but Illeana was superb in Barfi, such a natural and effortless performance. Won awards for best debut and the film smashed it at BO as well. She is getting good roles post that movie too.

Alia on the other hand was horrible in SOTY, there is no other was to put it. I have said before that the only person that was good to an extent in that fiasco(SOTY) was Varun. Kudos to him for shinning out of that mess.

Alia was criticized by one and all, and rightfully so. I am still not sure why that was though because she in her next films was spectacular. Be it 2 states, Highway or HSKD with the last being my fav.

And yes, she is getting huge roles now which has more to do with highway than her debut b/w. But none of that should change the fact that she was just mediocre in her debut.

Since we are talking about only debut here I have voted for pari as she was fantabulous in LVRB. she is definitely going through a bad phase this year but who didn't? every top actress did, and that doesn't take away the fact that she is a superb actress.. I am sure she will come out of this rough patch soon 😊
