Guilty until proven innocent

Guilty until proven innocent not innocent until proven guilty, strange, but these words did not surprise coming from the man who is always oolta, topsy turvy in his thinking and behavior.
Abhi sinks to new lows every day but somehow today he managed to find newer absymal depths as he stood there, pseudo righteous and pure, pronouncing his judgement on Pragya. How dare he ask for proof of her innocence? He has his mistress under his roof, gallivants with Tannu under the very nose of Pragya and the rest of the (blind) household and yet has the gall to ask his hapless wife to prove her innocence and gives her a 24 hour ultimatum. What a man! 👏

Pragya is no better, she keeps sinking as well, kowtowing to the evil 3. She is contrite and teary for something she did not commit but rears her head like a wounded cow (yes, cow, not lioness or tigress) only at Tannu. Pragya walks out like a wimp, singing Abhi's gun gaan, wishing him happiness with not a thought spared as to how this clip could have transpired. Falling in love is one thing, losing one's self respect and subjugating oneself to the extent of not fighting for one's honor and integrity is deplorable. And we were under the misconception that she was an intelligent woman, a professor at that!

Romance when it happens between the two will be well deserved, one a narcissistic grandiose egotist and the other a sans spine, rose-colored spectacles wearing nincompoop.

well... I have learnt from having stopped watching this show from almost 2 months ago... that nothing is ever going to change... the characters will remain where they are.. not having moved an inch from where they currently stand, bas the situations and circumstances change..
its great to vent out one's frustrations on this track and also hard to sympathise with any... all are dumb, spineless, selfish in their own way.. even the makers seem to have great pleasure in keeping them like that.. whether they do it out of sake for the rankings or out of lack of not having anything much to offer.. is the debate..
this title to this topic reminds me of the situation of people who are caught commiting a crime.. whether they are innocent or not, they are termed to be guilty, until they prove themselves innocent.. same is the situation of pragya..
this same track of insult of pragya, and her proving herself innocent has become monotonous and gives everybody a head ache.. I wish the makers stop harping on this track, if they want to save this show from losing out in the TVT race and eventually being replaced

I know it's mean but I'm kind of rooting for Praya to fail so she has to leave that house and possibly reclaim the brain and self respect she evidently left at her mother's house. She clearly isn't going to leave the Mehra house on her own. Maybe when forced out, it will jolt her out of this Stockholm Syndrome, as you so aptly described it months ago (yes, months! And nothing has changed!) and she will return to form. No more crying at the drop of a hat, no more sitting silent as her integrity is attacked, no more not realizing for herself that she was set up, no more hanging around people who are rooting for her downfall, including Abhi, no more treating her mother like an infant.

Pipe dreams.

As for Abhi, I don't even know anymore. Is he redeemable? I don't know. I guess I'd have to wait and see because in my mind, I can't picture there being punishment and apologies enough to make up for this. I also sadly can't picture Pragya holding it against him, even though most rational people would.

Yes, the track is repetitious, same old same old of Anhi insulting and Pragya stoically bearing all.

In real life, when a person commits a crime, he/she is considered innocent by the justice system and court of law until the person is proven guilty. So it is the opposite happening with Pragya here, Abhi has already presumed her guilty and pronounced the verdict without trying her case. She is not accorded the courtesy that even a common criminal is, hence the title of my post :)

Really, has it been months since I wrote that? And we are still stuck in the same quagmire? I wish she would prove herself and then leave (square it all away and sock it to the evil 3), walk out with dignity intact and head held high. My pipe dreams, not going to happen. I agree no apology (there will perhaps be just one) will be sufficient to redeem the man but like you write Pragya will melt like butter over fire even before the word "sorry" forms on his lips. Sadly my idea of romance is not a guy manhandling and spewing words of distrust and insults all day long, but she goes dreamy eyed over that, hard to comprehend her mindset.

DITTO...
Couldn't have said it better
I really hate Pragya right now...who only seems to be crying...and moaning...and talking about Abhi trusting her...like when was theren ever trust between them??? When has Abhi ever trusted or beleived her.
First of all hate the Hypocricy of Abhi for even acting all hurt and righteous...what right does he even have of accusing her...or asking her to prove her innocence...why...for so called Dadi...then why doesnt he tell his dadi the truth about his on going affair...
Pragya needs to leave...period...the mom dadi excuses is like already slaughtering a slaughtered cow...
P.S...love..love all your topics till now...this being the third...great points always⭐️👏

Don't get the logic either, why is Abhi hurt and feeling wronged? Double standards to the nth degree. Hate his nonsense and hate Pragya's whimpering. Can't she not see where he is wrong?? Oh my, if this how an ideal bahu/wife is supposed to behave, heaven help us!!

Where is the "Sense" or "Sensibility" in all this?
For that matter, where is the romance?
Totally fed up!
