Most likely CB hiked the price to renew the contract which UTV didn't agree to and hence shelved.

The initial cast and director had been announced long back. After 2States success CB probably wanted a more commercial film like 2States as opposed to something like KPC. Plus there was lots of lobbying by starkids who saw CB's next as another 100cr film. Obviously there was lots of interference and intense lobbying from all quarters. UTV probably thought its best to back out. I wont be surprised if KJo or Sajid N back this.

I wouldn't worry about Arjun fizzling out so soon, he has signed couple of films already. One of them he starts shooting in Feb!

I thought the feb one is rr 2020. Which couple of films?
At the eventful trailer launch of Tevar, Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Boney Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai and Sanjay Kapoor interacted with media speaking about the film.
The star studded trailer launch of Tevar at Yash Raj Studios today was a grand event which was attended by Prabhu Dheva, Ramesh Tarauni, Satish Kaushik and many more. At the trailer launch, when Arjun Kapoor was asked about the reports of him not signing any film till the release of Tevar, the actor rubbished the rumours by saying-
"The report you are talking about is partly true. I had said I won't start shooting for any film till the release of Tevar but I will be signing films till then. So the next film I am a part of will go on floors in February. As far as the kind of roles I do is concerned, I am open to do any role which excites me."
When Boney Kapoor was asked about comparison of Tevar with Salman Khan's Wanted which was produced by Boney Kapoor, the producer said-
" Tevar is a completely different film from Wanted. We are not trying to recreate Wanted nor is Arjun trying to act like Salman Khan."
Boney Kapoor's Tevar starring Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Manoj Bajpai is all set to hit the big screen on 9th January 2015.
