In general, most lead characters in TV shows have an allergy to revealing the truth - because they know that if they speak, then the track will be cut short and the producers will whup them!

The producers will say "yeh tumne kya kiya yaar! Tumne sach kyun bola??? The viewers want to see some whuppins handed out and you've told the truth and ended things early! Shame on you brother!!!"

I think that before the truth is revealed, the creatives have to make out that Durga/Bani has handed out massive whuppins and caused mass destrutction!
