Chapter Four.

Sahir entered his room and threw his phone onto his bed before loosening the tie around his neck.

He had his back to the door when it opened, causing him to exclaim; "Have I not said that you should knock before entering!?"
"Relax Bhai. a familiar and jubilant voice called closing the door behind him "it's me!"
"That rule goes for you too. Understood?" He asked his younger brother
"Yeees" He sighed. His brother was always so formal. "Would you like me to re-enter your room?"
"No. Just get on with it. What do you want?" He asked
"Nothing!" He exclaimed, mocking offense. "Can't a guy come and say hey to his brother?"
"No. Now out with it"
"I need some money" He said, coming to the point, making a pleading expression to go with it. Sahir sighed. This was Zaki all over. "Please" he added
"Now what?"
"I just told a friend I'd take them out"
"A friend. Yeah, right" He shook his head and took his wallet out from his trouser's back pocket. "How much do you need for this 'friend' then?"
"Not much" He said and took a gander into Sahir's wallet. "This'll do" He said grabbing 2 of the 3 notes that were in there. "You're the best bhai!"
"Zaki" He sighed as his brother turned to leave but stopped when he remembered something
"Oh; Did you hear about ammi's friend's daughter living with us"
"Living with us??" Sahir exclaimed
"Yeah, didn't you know?"
"No. No one informed me" he replied, annoyed
"They probably just forgot" He shrugged
"Yeah right" He shook his head "Probably knew I'd say no if I found out so they didn't bother to tell me" he muttered
"Did you say something bhai?"
"No" He shook his head "Was that it?"
"Okay, I see you're ready to explode so I'll go" he told his brother and was about to leave when he spotted something on his brother's bedside cabinet. He picked the bottle of aftershave up and made a quick getaway before Sahir could catch him. ""I'll bring it back when I'm done!" he called and left.

So, not only did he have to put up with this girl in his office, he also had to tolerate her in his home!

Sahir made his way over to his large window sill and sat down beside the window. He sat there and stared deep into the abyss, longing to somehow find an answer to the questions that remained deep inside him.

All of a sudden, the door knocked. Sahir sighed. When would he find the time to just be alone with his thoughts? When would people finally get the hint and just let him be?

"Come in" He called authoritively and the door opened slowly for him to see the girl stood there. He sighed in frustration.

"What?" He asked curtly
"I..." she began then paused
"Yes?"
"I... er..."
"What is it!?" he was beginning to lose his patience. Why couldn't she just say what she wanted and leave?

"Ammi said I shouldn't have spoken to you the way I did so I just wanted to apologise for the way I spoke"
"You can go now" He replied
"But... I just..."
"I just what?"
"I'm trying to say sorry"
"You've said it. Now you may leave" he told her opening his door and waited as she gave him a look before leaving.

He closed the door and he looked out across the room to saw his desk so he made his way over and sat down and began writing:

EDIT (6/11) Totally forgot to credit Parveen Shakir for the shayari... Clearly I was tired :L

This is the result of me being half asleep. And it's only 6PM over here so imagine what kinda day I must've had :L
