Learnt that EHT is finally ending. Sooner than its stipulated time.
Must say it is unfair considering how you both were winning awards and show was climbing popularity charts slowly but steadily.

I take this opportunity to congratulate you both for being path breaking actresses. For always taking up different roles.

You both are married yet your work and lifestyle never got affected. Kudos to you for retaining individuality, yet completely being in love with your respective spouses. Kudos to your husbands also for being so supportive. It was a pleasure to see them clap for you and cheer on as you collected your trophies as best actors for EK HASINA THI.

You both are not new to TV. Simone Singh ji you have always done different work. Seahawks, Mouthful of Sky, Kashish you name it, all have been different and had you in modern, gutsy characters. The themes that so called revamped Ekta Kapoor is giving now, such as intricacies of divorce, struggle of a deserted woman, single mother etc., you have portrayed that long ago in your own earlier shows. Even Heena was atypical for its times. A rare Muslim social that dared to speak up on issue of Talaaq and rights of women under Islamic laws. Though it veered into rona dhona later.
You have tremendous charm, screen presence, beauty and great command over language. Whether you speak Hindi, English or Bangla it is so clear that it makes an impact! The accent and pronunciation are all in perfect place.👏

You had all makings of a superstar yet you chose to walk your own path than accept anything that came your way.
You accepted a Kosmic Chat from Balaji but steadfastly refused all K soaps though everyone was after you post Heena.

Even now when you chose to make a comeback you chose a different role. Completely unlike what Indian TV had seen before. Irrespective of the end, or fate of the show, Sakshi Goenka will remain a milestone.👏

You shocked everyone transforming from innocent, doe eyed Heena to ruthless Sakshi Goenka. You made people love and hate you with a passion! Your clothes, one liners, style, jewellery...just everything became a rage. You made Sakshi your own.👏
Your Sakshi is among rare grey characters with her own fan clubs. People rediscovered you with EHT! 😉

You deserve the trophies you won. Hopefully this is not another one of your short but impactful flashes of brilliance. I hope to see you more be it any medium!

Sanjeeda - you too have made unconventional choices. Never the typical chui mui romantic lead nor typical bahu. You did comedy, grey shade, but whatever you did, you were always strong. No wonder makers of Ek Hasina thi chose you as Durga! With those piercing eyes and strong features you look naturally assertive. 😊

I was not a fan of yours. But came to like what you did as Durga. Great of you to say no to typical run of the mill roles and choose Ek Hasina Thi for comeback! 👏

You handled aggression, glamour yet wounds of grief of your character very well.

After ages we had a character who knew exactly what she wanted and went ahead to call the shots.

Yes your "hunter-prey" chemistry with Shaurya aka Vatsal Sheth was good.

You were so believable with Payal!

It is not easy holding one's own against a cast like Simone Singh, Ayub Khan, Kishwer Merchant, Bhupinder Singh. But you managed.

BOTH Sakshi and Durga were, are and will always be milestone characters for desi TV given the strong, powerful, motivated, goal oriented women they are. They get things done. They know how to fight back. They were a rare but much needed exploration into female aggression and dark side of female personality.
Otherwise shows just slot women as caricature doormat or bitchy gossip queen. And pretend as if female psyche has no layers and conflicts of its own!😕

This is dedicated to your unconventional roles and work ethic! ⭐️

You both have seen a couple of your shows being taken off air or battling low TRPs. Yet you choose roles based on what you like and not what so called current market trend is. THAT IS THE SPIRIT!👏

Ek Hasina Thi had potential to make powerful comment on nexus of business, media, politics, law, individual ego, rich vs poor conflict. To a little extent it did. Your characters too had way more potential.
You just left us asking for more.

The show is yet to end but you will leave us asking for more and thinking of potential you had.

Thank you for your great work! Thanks to your supportive families! Thanks to the writers who made Sakshi and Durga.🥳

All the best for your future. Hope to see you around. Thank you for the hours, days, weeks and months of engagement you provided to viewers and causing so many debates and discussions. 😊

Hell with channels and TRPs! The way you set minds ticking is priceless and cannot be quantified by points/numbers.

Wish the producer had more guts and tact with his idea and the talent he was using.

Anyway you ate up all males in the show with your portrayal.

Rock on Powepuff Girls! You will be missed like anything.

Keep walking your own path, we will always be there to watch your next unconventional offing. 😊

One of the best dedications i have read 👏
Both simone and sanjeeda were so powerful in their respective roles and indeed they were brave to go away from cliched roles as always . There ability to chose non-stereotypical roles are highly commendable and also a proof of what immense talent they possess . It also points to the fact that they are audience oriented choosers rather than money-making minds .

Should say kishwer is a good actor too and even she has done some unconventional roles ,think haseena raichand of pyaar ki yeh hai ek kahaani where she played a vampire or the hot tammana madam in MJHT of starone fame and currently being seen in akbar birbal.

Vatsal is new to Small screen world and what a brilliant potryal as the notorious rapist shaurya. No one could have done it better than him . I really dint think that vatsal could keep up with the bad boy image and voila he proved me wrong . He proved he is as much the bad boy as the chocolate boy.

Ayub khan is as senior as simone and his Rajnath goenka will always remind us of his wily way of getting rid of his opponents, the calmness on his face when planning something big or just the way his eyes communicate .

The cast was very well chosen as most of them were not the typical saas-bahu favourites . It was rather a unconventional but a talented cast.
Take a bow 👏

p.s. ignore typos 🥱

I will write on whole cast and show but later. For now I chose only these 2 women as they are the ones who run EHT in true sense and they have history of choosing unconventional roles.

Otherwise how can I ignore Kishwer and my first favourite character of this show Dayal Thakur aka Bhupinder Singh?

I first felt bad for Simone Singh and Sanjeeda Sheikh that their shows of late have ended like this. But then thought why feel sad? Rather why not celebrate their unconventional individuality? I wrote it as a catharsis of sorts.

I love Simone Singh and Sanjeeda Sheikh for living life to the fullest on their own terms even despite marriage. I love how they bond with the rest of their team and have no reservations like other married actresses. Their confidence is evident in their appearances at events and their offscreen videos and selfies. They completely comfortable with themselves.
Kishwer too has similar confidence. Just love her interaction with fans and her ease interacting with colleagues.
Simone Singh though sometimes seems unreachable thanks to her absence from social media. But gotta respect her choice.

Let shows go off air or movies flop. But never ever get absorbed in conventional rubbish. I am glad Simone was Sakshi Goenka and not "Ae Beendni" and Sanjeeda was Durga and not "Jee maa sa". One of the best femme fatale type rivalries I have seen on desi screen.

👏 👏 👏 for Sanjeeda and Simone, the two unforgettable and towering actors in EHT.

Simone was absolutely spectacular in every way- stunning looks, elegant sophisticated style and absolutely stellar acting. I had never even heard of Simone before I saw EHT! Now I can never forget her.

Sanjeeda is a gorgeous actress, she is very fortunate to have worked with Simone and hope she has learned from Simone's acting style, dialogue delivery, expressions, everything.

Hats off to these women who played such fantastic characters Durga and Sakshi who are but 2 sides of a coin- they differ in the choices they have made in their lives, yet they are equally strong and powerful for the experiences they have been through. Sakshi is but a Durga gone rogue.

There was so much to explore there.

Such a pity that Star Slush is such a pathetic, narrow minded, bigoted, tunnel- visioned, money grubbing channel that it could not do justice to the one show that had something solid to show.

A Fantastic Dedication of Two absolutely Beautiful and Talented Actresses Anu. 👏

Thank you.

It is indeed commendable of Simone Singh and Sanjeeda Sheik to accept such different and diverse roles.

Both of them did a fabulous job as Shakshi and Durga.

I will definitely miss them when this show bids a farewell and I will look forward to seeing them in something new and exciting very soon.

Wish them both the Best of Luck in their Future endeavours.

True Anu Simone and Sanjeeda always have stood out with their roles.

I wanted the cvs to etch out a story to payal after all she was the central concept for the entire revenge and its sad that they lost the foundation ..they let go a very fine actor 😕
Yes , dayal was such a lovely character and he has given us lot of moments to be remembered.

I have never felt so bad before for any daily soap or show ending abruptly 😭 Simone and Sanjeeda as Sakshi and Durga respectively have won our hearts

EHT is the show I became a "fan" of. I was on IF since 2011 and we used to have discussion on shows like BV, DKDM etc but I was never a conventional fan.

It is this show which I watched from day one and after that commissioner expose episode I started writing daily on it on this forum. Beti beti hoti hai...this sequence simply won me over!

Analysis, debates, celebration threads, AT etc everything fan-ish done only for EHT.

Found myself noticing symbolic meaning even in character names, waiting eagerly for next episode, loving one liners, making funny posts etc.

I remember initially every member here used to look for mystery and clues in everything. That's how excited each one was. But it took such a beating...

We will never again get such a cast and such characters that have so many layers and cause love-hate-curiosity at same time.

I can't believe maker was so phattu that he changed and mauled story, ruined his own creation for channel's diktat!

This was an astonishing dedications towards both amazing actors, Simone and Sanjeeda. Thank you atominis for creating this. Frankly, Sanjeeda and Simone were amazing as their respective characters, Durga and Sakshi. They portrayed their characters wonderfully. I will certainly miss both Simone and Sanjeeda's brilliant acting. Simone and Sanjeeda selected very unique, but different roles. Simone and Sanjeeda are both very ambitious and determined actors. I wish them best of luck for their future projects and further attempts 👍🏼
