Hi doc
What can i say that i have not said before .. tonite in a passionate post .. u still manage to hit a soothing tone .. man ur wonderful .. its restive & a contemplative read ..I liked that u mentioned .. he desperately wants to believe that Ishita can ever betray him .. the man who got up with the hangover & went to his room was the man .. who wanted to question what he saw .. even as he bravely looked into the mirror & said that this relation is about RUHI ... but what i particularly liked was when he said nothing else matters .. he couldnt face the mirror . he looked down .. cause it mattered .. her betrayal .. her not loving him .. but whats more >> HIM LOVING HER .. mattered .. it mattered a hell of a lot ..To me this man came to that party .. & little by little the layer of love was being pulled out .. yes Raman is a complex character .. his FLAW makes him a complex character .. seldom have we seen a hero in Indian telly land whose insecurity transforms him ... his vulnerability transforms him ... even in designer duds .. or at the pinnacle of his success .. deep down in his core he is a nerd .. who doesnt think a beautiful woman .. can be attracted to him ..He worshiped at Shagun's feet .. cause he couldnt believe he could be so lucky as to have a goddess in his life .. he a nerdHe shunned & ridiculed Ishita called her fat at every given opportunity .. cause this time he didn't want to worship at this goddesses feet .. that was his way of keeping her in a BOX .. & saving himself .. but by saying no repeatedly .. it dint make her any less of a Goddess .. & he did end up worshipping at her feet .. albeit secretly ... his only recourse is . he still had his veil intact .. & hence he dorns that ..Theres a macabre poetry to his speech .. if Raman as a character has layers .. his speech at the party was those layers ..for me the Speech was in a way the writers way to introduce RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA TO US ..TO me this was the mix of Nerd & ALPHA .. the first true glimpse of the mix ... a man who is lethal ... the man who with his words could kill as well as soothe ...
