As of now if the child asks why can't you go back and Urmi says I can't tell you, Shaurya will feel Samrat is right and Urmi is wrong because she has no reason. She has to say him something in a sugar coated way so that the child is brought back to the right path again. He has been just brainwashed by material goods..
Sugar coated words don't work on Shaurya. That's part of the problem. Shaurya is extremely bright and perceptive. Samrat was smart with his approach to Shaurya. It's not just material things that attracted Shaurya. Samrat, along with giving Shaurya material things, gave Sharuya his full attention and time. He spent full days with Samrat, totally carefree. Samrat was loving, encouraging, supportive, etc. And not only that, Samrat reunited Shaurya with Mandira and co. (whom he was really missing).
Urmi, on the other hand, due to circumstances, is not able to provide him with the same time, support, and encouragement. As a working woman, she's busy trying to make a life for herself and him and thus could not give him all her time (like he was used to when Urmi was a housewife). Also, being responsible, she makes Shaurya go to school and disciplines him. We as viewers and adults, can understand she does this for his benefit. But Shaurya is a kid and does not think of it this way/ the future. All he sees is that his mother nags him, gets angry at him, etc. Urmi is also keeping Shaurya away from Mandira and co (although in reality, Kanchan and others can also be blamed and it is really for Shaurya's best influence because they all live with Samrat and Shaurya needs to be kept away from him).
So although Urmi has been the responsible mother, Shaurya isn't seeing that.
Honestly tho, I'm pretty sure that Shaurya will be back with Urmi eventually, especially if she remains strong and stays away from Samrat. Samrat will go back to his brutish ways and Shaurya will crave his mother again.
