Duh only in BW movies does an educated woman fall for a gunda or taxi driver. Whats so shocking about an educated woman wanting to date an equally educated man? Not talking about English divide but talking about education.

Exactly I don't expect an English scholar but basic English and knowing native language is a must for me or else how the hell would I communicate? 😕 I'm not good in sign language if that is expected.

I also realized that as some members pointed out CB seems to mess up educated vs. English speaking. There are several highly educated girls who are not fluent in English themselves. They prefer not to date English speaking guys.

Also this is a sexist comment on his part. English speaking men have the same standards. They too seek English speaking women.

Well he might be thinking about the ripple effect of writing a novel which eventually becomes a bestseller. He feels word of mouth might just help him do some social service. This might be too far fetched until and unless he has got such kind of reviews for his earlier novels. Cut down some slack on CB. He is thinking way too far ahead or he was just day dreaming while making that slum dwellers comment. 😆
