Student of The Year - overrated or not?

😉 It has been 2 years since KJO's debut venture that introduced our hotties Alia, Varun, and Siddharth. Of course, they all owe KJO their careers. However, the movie is still not regarded as a memorable film. It launched all the newcomers. But the story was as old as the hills. The songs were entertaining. Sex appeal, plenty of it. Student of the Year - overrated or not?

i thought ppl disliked it to begin with. it was pretty bad to be honest. kkhh and k3g were cheesy and corny ( but i LOVE those movies cus they were appropriate for their time and the melodrama worked, and theyre just a part of my childhood) but soty felt like a disney channel show that was made into a horrible bollywood adaptation

Story of that film was 😆

I like varun sid and i find alia okay but the film was very bad

I mean the story was so Thanda though the songs were good

For a change, camera shots had concentrated on boys, their abs and navel..😆

it was always heroines in such shots earlier..

but the gay jokes and toilet humor was the least expected from a student movie and it was such a disappointment for me 🤢

Only KJo thinks it's a cult classic. But I anyday prefer KKHH K3G. Even though SOTY is a my generation kind of a film, the over the top sequences just don't work like they use to in the late 90s early 2000s.

Abhi-Shanaya, Abhi-Dadi, the whole gang, Abhi-Rohan bromance...damn it is all cheesy and stupid and like a teenage show but do I like it?

I love it totally.❤️

I have a thing for SOTY and it will always be. Whenever I am stressed I get down to watching it and just laughing like crazy at all the scenes.🤣

The songs give me vibes like no others...I still have them in my phone and listen to them often while replaying the whole video in my mind.🥳

And the most important thing of SOTY for me is Sidhart Malhotra. It is the first time I laid my eyes on that guy...and BOOM!!! It was LOVE.❤️This guy means so much to me and I owe this to SOTY and KJo. Thanks for bringing SidM in BW coz well according to me that is the best thing that has happened to me in terms of BW.🤗

P.S. Gaurav thanks for giving me a place to rant about my extreme love for SOTY . <3😆
