Salman Khan speaks out on his equation with fellow actors, in a candid conversationwith Vickey Lalwani

That's the actor's response when asked why he didn't make a big deal after signing his first Hollywood film, Marigold, which releases next month. Here, the superstar chats with Vickey Lalwani on his forthcoming releases and his friendship — and lack of it — with his fellow actors

Tell us about your new friendship with Govinda…
Govinda and I have been friends since long. I don't know why people are talking about it now.

But he has been vocal that you have given him a new lease of life…
(Interrupts) Frankly, we needed Govinda as an actor in Partner. His comic timing is absolutely great. I remember I had thrown attitude at him in my younger days and he was still humble. He is a very simple and clean hearted person. We may be doing a film together called Tom and Jerry. The details are being worked out.

Has your equation with your Babul co-actor John Abraham improved?
There is no equation. I don't know that man.

Will you do a film with Abhishek Bachchan?
(Pauses) Why would I have a problem with Abhishek?

With Viveik Oberoi?
Who's that? Oh little Viveik, that idiot! Of course not.

You have become friends with Aamir Khan too. Hadn't you two drifted apart after Andaz Apna Apna?
We had not drifted apart. It's just that he came to my house for a party and the press started making assumptions.

There was a huge crowd outside your building in April, and people thought that you were getting married (to Katrina Kaif)?
Oh, that was blown out of proportion. Fans throng my building twice a day.

Are there any plans to get married in the immediate future?
(Smiles) No.

How does it feel that your first Hollywood film, Marigold, is on the verge of release?
I am very excited. I play a choreographer. A girl called Marigold comes into my life.How our culture changes her forms the balance of the story.

Was it different to work in a Hollywood set up?
No, except for the fact that we shot very early in the mornings and I had to speak in English in front of the camera.

Other actors start beating their own drum and appoint agents when they sign their first Hollywood film, but you never did. Why?
My name is Salman Khan (smiles).

He sounds arrogant.

I don't think it's nice of him to talk negative about John and vivek. But then, it's also good that he's being straight forward and just saying what's on his mind. at least, we know that he really hates them. With other actors you always have to guess whether they really are enemies!

r u serious salman has said nothing compared to what vivek did he arranged whole press confrernce and accused salman and humilated him because of his then girlfriend ash. salman had done nothing to vivek . vivek was on ninth cloud cuz ash was with him. he acted like idot.

He has a sense of humour that can work wonders 😆 😆

i like the idea of saying 'my name is Salman Khan' what more can be said hehehe..

and plus its good he never poked at J.AB other wise he wouldve started another argument over a person whom really isnt worth it
