Vanaja - yes, I agree that Saptaparna sounded more high pitched than usual, but the song has been sung by Alka at that scale... and Alka sounded a lot more shriller due to her tonal pitch (Alka inherently goes shrill in high notes usually).... This was not her best performance, but her elimination is very undeserving! As Sonya said, why on earth did the judges go so overborad with Ira? She did not leave any impact on the song!

As for Toshi, is he walking the Sumitra way of succumbing to very high expectations and attempting a similar genre of songs again and again? I guess so... His 2nd half of the song was a bit better off than the 1st half (that was totally inaudible).. but since his overall scale of the song was lot lower than the original, did it leave an impact? None whatsoever!!

Oh, I agree that Saptaparna should have remained in the final 12-14-20-whatever. The point was just that yesterday did not see her at her best and if that one performance is the criterion.... in earlier cases, a tied pair has been allowed to perform again.

The promo shows the judges protesting that they have to choose one person. A bit much, I say: were they only realizing this at the time of the shooting? Guess we will have to wait and see. If that is the case, they are way behind IF in such matters!

I agree with Jaya. Saptaparna has an amazing voice quality and she din't deserve to go. Alka was right in giving her 9 points. Its a tough song to sing and she did a good job. 👏

Abhijit rightly said at the end of show that Saptaparna was the best that day..

I could not find a more melodious voice than her on that day but .....
