As a celebrity by default a lot of the causes they speak about are self-promotion and public relations.

It is said that pride is the only sin that cannot be beaten. There cannot be any true act of selflessness or altruism because it all directly or indirectly fuels self-worth.

Let us support causes and issues for the functions they serve, not for who represents them. In India one woman empowered, one lay person informed, one person made to think will always be a huge deal. The result is important. It doesn't matter why the celebrity did it.

We shouldn't distance ourselves from something meaningful simply because a celebrity endorses it.
