@Charu

Do watch the episode. It's not so bad to watch. If I was able to watch it, you can too. WUs sound worse than the actual thing. 😊 You will be amazed by Jodha today. She was a restless, anxious mother today. Full of foreboding that something bad was going to happen and that Hussein was in danger. You should see her Charu - as the half-crazed, mumbling to herself mother, whose sixth sense is telling her to save Hussein - she was brilliant. You can't miss it.

Jalal was so down and out today - I felt sad to see him in that condition. He could barely look up at anyone. His own grief combined with concern for Jodha are pulling him down badly. You have to watch the episode for him.

Sorry about your father. I am sure you are right - he is walking right beside you always. 😊

@Neetz, Charu,

We have to tolerate Ruq's bad behavior; if she doesn't behave badly, why will she be punished?

About Bharmal's entry:

First the news of the grandchildren's birth has to go to Amer. Then they have to start and come to Agra. Dadisa cannot travel fast, non stop. It will take time.

Anyway it's not being shown in this show. But generally no one visits a woman who has just given birth within the first 11 days.

There are so many glaring inconsistencies in the show. This is a very small one, if it is one. 😊 Just ignore it.

At least they came and learnt Hasan was dead and Hussein had been given away. Where is Jodha's mother? Where are her brothers? Even Sujamal who undertook such a risk to see her last time is nowhere on the scene this time. Seems they have all quit the show. 😕

Neetz, sorry about your loss. Trust in God - He will see you through this. 🤗

I watched today's episode Radhika . It dragged on forever .

Yes, Jodha the mother has had a premonition about Hussein . Both Paridhi and Rajat were awesome today.Rajat as the emotionally defeated Shehenshah and Pari as the restless, anxious mother desperately trying to control the scary thoughts of something bad going to happen to her other child plaguing her mind .We also had an overdose of Rukaiya, she gets on my nerves but I will patiently put up with her , in order to cheerfully witness her ultimate downfall . Also I'm a tad disappointed with Jalal for not completing the act of slapping her .
Did you notice his anger when Rukaiyya accused Jodha of neglecting Hassan ? The best is yet to come when he rips her apart 😉 hopefully next week.

You are right . What happened to Sujamal , Mainavati, and Jodha's brothers ? I think its Ruks's time to rule the roost . The Amer family has been temporarily forgotten .

JA Oct 9 2014 | Ruqaiyya's Obsession with Hussein

Friends, cool down! The episode wasn't so bad. Why be shocked by Ruq's behavior - she's always been like this only. 😊 Let's face it. If she wasn't bad, why would she be punished?

What good is a vamp who isn't bad, selfish, insensitive, apathetic, disgusting and repulsive? I would say Lavina is doing a good job of being a vamp since she has succeeded in making us Hate her so much and wishing to see her nemesis.

*********************************************************************************

As we thought on Wednesday, Dadisa and Bharmal want to take Jodha and Hussein to Amer to protect him from Maham's curse. They are shocked to learn that Hussein has been given away to Ruqaiyya.

Qasim, who is privy to this discussion, informs Zeenat that Hussein may soon be sent away.

Zeenat realizes that she has to buy time to be able to finish off her work of killing Hussein. She brainwashes Ruqaiya that the Ameris will take away Hussein to Amer on the pretext of nurturing him. There they would spread the news that Hussein was Jodha's son and Jodha had given him to Ruqaiyya as charity. She further insinuates that the Ameris would ultimately hand Hussein back to Jodha and Ruqaiyya would be left empty-handed. Zeenat urges Ruqaiyya to be careful so as not to lose Hussein.

Ruqaiyya is easily influenced by anyone and this time is no exception. Her own fear of losing her audha by losing Hussein to Jodha makes her succumb to Zeenat's brainwashing easily.

Ruqaiyya is summoned to the meeting by Jalal. She is mentally prepared to refuse to hand over Hussein.

When dadisa comes forward to bless the child, Ruqaiyya flinches back. She "doesn't want / trust anyone to touch Hussein". She clearly states that she doesn't trust the Ameris (or anyone for that matter). She declares stubbornly that she would not allow anyone to take Hussein out of even her hojra and walks out.

Jalal is downcast throughout the meeting, weighed down by his own grief and his concern for the emotionally broken Jodha. He is barely able to mumble that the Ameris had come to visit their grandson and Ruqaiyya must allow them to hold the baby. He is brushed off like a speck of dirt by a rude (not haughty) Ruqaiyya, who is impervious to the humiliation she is causing Jalal in front of those assembled as well as the disrespect she is showing to the royal guests, much senior to her in age and rank. The shocking bit here is that the senior royal ladies just stand quietly, mutely witnessing this shameful scene, without a word to Ruqaiyya. Such tolerance may be fine within the family, but didn't Hamida and co think of Jalal's and the Mughal Sultanat's honor in front of the Ameris?

Jalal is unable to even apologize to Raja Bharmal and his mother, so shamed is he. They leave, clearly feeling hurt, insulted and disgusted by the proceedings.

Later, Ruqaiyya appoints a small brigade of bandis and khwaja sheras to guard Hussein, which becomes a point of mockery with the servants who snigger at her growing obsession with Hussein's safety and well-being.

Ruqaiyya leaves Hussein in Zeenat's and Hoshiyar's care while going for a bath. Zeenat sends Hoshiyar out on a pretext so that she can do her job easily. Why she waited all these days while she had easier access to Hussein and the poison readily with her is something I don't understand. Was she enjoying the comforts of Agra for as long as she could before heading back home?

Meanwhile Jodha is in a daze. She is constantly flooded by images of Mahamanga cursing her children and laughing at her. She feels extremely restless and anxious for Hussein's life.

Jalal sees her condition and suggests that they go out in the garden for some fresh air. It's the one saving grace of the episodes these days that Jalal takes extremely good care of Jodha, who is emotionally devastated, physically wearied and mentally living in her own world full of punishing thoughts. In the garden, Jodha again gets a premonition that Hussein is in danger. She urges Jalal to go and take a look at him.

Jalal goes to Ruqaiyya's hojra to check on Hussein, just as Zeenat is about to make Hussein lick the poison. There, the episode ends on a suspenseful note, as Jalal and Zeenat exchange looks.

Precap:

Ruq blames Jodha for her carelessness in losing Hasan and says that she will not allow anyone to touch her Hussein. Jalal raises his hand to stop her from saying anything against Jodha.

Ruqaiyya starts choking. Jalal catches hold of her and calls for a hakima.

What Next:

Zeenat would likely succeed in poisoning Hussein and Ruqaiyya would blame Jodha for Hussein's death. Jalal may suspect Zeenat, remembering that she had been putting her finger in Hussein's mouth, as he entered Ruqaiyya's hojra.

Jodha may be further driven to suicidal depression by Hussein's death.

Love vs Obsession

Hi Radhika,

Thanks for that post and a coincidence that after cooling down enough from that emotionally draining episode even I thought the same.

Leaving aside all the prejudice and our obvious hate and if we look at the episode from a purely psychological aspect then this episode doesn't look bad at all especially with those exceptional actors who splendidly brings out every minute nuances .

For me todays episode was again in line with the last two episodes where in the last we see the denial, hurt, pain manifested both out of love and obsession today's was of fear and guilt and this is what I want to touch upon here.

Guilt:

All through the DEK scene jalal exhibited this guilt beautifully .He couldn't look into anyone's eyes as with all the pain he carries a guilt too that he has to now say these grieve stricken grandparents that they have not only lost one grandchildren but two as he very well knew ruq is never going to accept to this proposition and in his mind he is already blaming himself for the Farman given and somewhere failed as a father.

How contrasting it was to see the same guilt derived out of obsession from ruq . Somewhere in the corner of her mind she carries a guilt that she has been overboard at DEK and so she comes and try to show everything is normal by ordering a lavish bath and so often when our conscience try to warn us we just put it off by trying to justify our actions and that's what I think the precap is about .when is he running out of explanations she now wants to hold jo as responsible for her own plight and thereby absolving her from the guilt that she is having jo's baby unethically.

when guilt is derived from a positive emotion like love we try to blame ourselves like jalal did ,but when the same comes from a negative trait like obsession we try to put the blame on others and thereby sooth our own conscience. The former makes as more human whereas the later just kills the humanity in us.

Fear

Ruq in her obsession for MUZ has created such an attachment with the object of her purpose hussain which comes along with a deep fear that the child could never truly be hers and its always will be jo's .WE saw that fear beautifully brought forth .The moment zeenat said "in amer the child will be only considered as jo's " her deep root fear shows it claws and sadly leads to her own self destruction that she chose to believe who she shouldn't and question who really loves her. This again shows how obsession can blind oneself and destroys you completely.

Then there was a touching display of a mothers fear for her child which was splendidly displayed by pari. Losing a child is the hardest thing one has to face and it leaves in you a permanent scar .My mother lost my eldest brother in infancy and she till exhibits that fear whenever anyone of us get sick. I still remember those days when she would just sit along my bedside rubbing my feet when I'm sick and so I could very well connect with what jo exhibited today a mothers fear that at least her other child should be safe.

The maha mangas curse though gave a feel of watching a haunted palace ,I could very well connect to the fear of her as in trying times our mind always try to reason out why this happened to us so that we can heal and go forward .In Hinduism that is given to us in form of our karmic deeds which give us strength to cope up and proceed further in our life.

So again today was a contrasting display of what can make and break us.

all in all today was again a day that belongs completely to rajat and pari for bringing out all the finer nuances in their expressions.

P.S.

This again could very well just be the manifestation of my mind which is desperately trying to hold on to some positive so that I could continue watching this serial without much questioning. So if it doesn't make any sense to you please do consider this just as random ramblings.

I started watching from the scene when Dadisa asks for the Kid and Ruqayya refuses. I did not like that. I posted my comments on the previous page.>. Link

About the rest of the Episode you^^ have written very nicely , i want to write something on the Precap. I know i am stirring up a hornet's nest, by what i have written here. LOL

But, i want to put forward my views as i think, as i can do it safely here, no doubt i am going to get bombarded. ;p

Ruqayya was Blaming Jodha for the death of Hasan, which is an act i deplore. Her VOLUME(screech) was not at all bearable. And, no doubt, it was enough to raise the temper of Jalal, as she went non stop. He was about to give it back to Ruqayya, but stopped.

He stopped as Ruqayya developed cough OR fainted(.?.) .
Now here, what can be said.?.

Did Jalal do the right thing here, by stopping himself, OR he should have gone ahead and manhandled her.?.

Note that, i am in NO MOOD to support Ruqayya and neither i sympathize with her NOW.
I made a "stern" post in this regard earlier, on this thread for her.>.
Link

But, at this moment i am discussing Jalal and i agree with what Jalal did. ;p I do not think he should have slapped his wife..He was angry but he stopped seeing her state(faint/cough).
(
Now, this can be her Naatak or a result of Zeenat giving her some sedative drugs, but this is NOT known to Jalal. )

I(and many) condemned Jalal's action when he pushed/shoved/pinned Jodha against the wall, and many of US had thought that 29 March(?) Promo to be a dream, as NONE of us HAD imagined that it would happen in reality..!!

Right now, many of us are extremely miffed with Ruqayya(i am also one of them), hence wanted her to get this "treatment" , but if we think from Jalal's POV then i still feel, he was right. It is we, the viewers who know that Ruqs has taken the Kid for fulfilling her MUZ's title obsession, but Jalal does NOT know this.

In front of Jalal, Ruqs has always PRETENDED that , She is a good mother and she took the kid to LIVE her Dream of Motherhood, though her FIRST THOUGHT was MUZ's title. Remember, when she came to take Hussain from Jodha, what was her Self-Talk.?.😳

I have one thing to say, all this pent up anger and follies will come out at a specified time and then there won't be any escape for her. What say.?. Do i make sense.?. All this is being deliberately made too much extreme that the end will be equally bombastic..

Please separate the anger on Ruqayya and then read this post. I think Jalal was right in stopping himself that moment. I have one thing to say, though, about tomorrow, that the CV's "award" us such scenes which are enough to raise the BP.. LOL

All views are welcome.
;p
