I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't understand why people hate Mani so much. We were the one who wanted a Raman jealousy track, and we're getting it. And Mani is not wrong. Yeah she is married, but look what kind of a marriage it is from his perspective. Heck what kind of a marriage it is from our perspective. Raman might 'love' Ishu, but he seems to have no way of showing it whatsover. Romi was right in his outburst today, Raman hardly ever treats her with any respect. His one liners are borderline rude now, and she has always come second fiddle to his original family, as we saw in the accident track. If we put up with Apshagun for so long, with no realization, then why not Mani? For once we are seeing Raman realize how he has been with his wife, who has done nothing but good for him. She hasn't asked for much, but I couldn't bare to see her face when he flat out refused to come to Mani's party. Mani is not being lecherous, he is just trying to make sure his friend is okay. I am LOVING this track, despite the Mani jhaap, because for once, we see Raman realizing Ishita's value, not just as his on again off again maid and child's mother, but as a woman who has a life of her own. I felt that despite the 'friendship' and the 'understanding' Ishita was treated as a mere commodity. She does a million things to show how good she is, but one small mistake and she is back to square one. Taunts and taanes ki bi hadh hoti hai, even as a joke. It had gotten to the point I kind of just started reading the updates to see when whatever is left of Ekta's sense of mild feminism would awaken. I had enough of this one sided melodrama with Shagun, I am glad to see Raman in the position Ishita has found herself in, on so many occasions in the past.
I have seen people comment about how Ishita is so lattu over Mani. That is not true, but if I had been deprived of that attention, and had my heart broken like Ishita, received that attention all of a sudden, I would run towards it too. Its human nature. She loves Raman, but what has she gotten in return? His ghussa? I would want to be around people who make me feel loved too. It is high time Raman realize that he needs to be a little softer. Mani is the perfect person to make him realize this.
So if someone who has a vehement opposition to Mani could explain to me their reasoning, I am all ears, because I seriously would like to know, maybe I can join in?
