Roshni Chopra is hot and in demand. Latest buzz is that she had signed a film with Pavan Kaul, the director of Shhhhhh, called Bhram for a cameo role. "I am playing Dino Morea's girlfriend in the movie. It was just a song sequence but later it was extended to a 15-minute cameo. I was supposed to do just a song in the movie but Pavan said he was impressed by my talent and so he extended my role. He has now offered me the lead role in his next movie," says Roshni. They wanted to keep her cameo role out of the limelight but somehow the news leaked and got everyone talking about it. Roshni is in a fix as doing a film will need time and with her role in Zee's Kasamh Se going well, she is needed to shoot 20-25 days a month. Shabbir bags negative role Shabbir Ahluwalia seems to have become an expert in doing negative roles after playing Rishi in Kahin To Hoga and the bad boy in Shootout At Lokhandwala. "My role of a lower middle class guy in Kayamath is doing well and is becoming grey from white." Recently he's been offered yet another negative role in Ekta Kapoor and Sunil Shetty's production Mission Istanbul. The film will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia and is based on Osama bin Laden's terrorist network — Al Qaeda. The shooting will be in Istanbul and Mumbai and will start in October. Bobby Deol will play the lead. When asked whether he will focus on movies now that he is doing well, he says, "I will balance out both. TV and films. I just want to do good roles, the medium isn't important." Manav Gohil was once a regional level cricketer Most people don't know Manav Gohil is a trained cricketer. He got hooked on to cricket when he played with colony friends. He even made it to the school and college teams. "I was once selected at the regional level. It was a proud moment for me. I played at the regional level as an opening batsman but couldn't continue later," he says. "I still play regularly with a few friends — Varun Badola, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sharad Kelkar," he says. When asked whether he will do another K serial, after having done five and quit, he says, "Only if they offer me really big money." |
