SAB TV's Left Right Left, with only one known face Rajeev Khandelwal, has completed a year. The story of the show is based on a military camp and the relationship between students and teachers in the camp. Within a year, the serial has gained tremendous popularity especially among the youth.
We spoke to some of the stars to find out how life has changed in the last one year.
Rajeev Khandelwal (Captain Rajveer), the most popular face of the serial, says, "It started at a very small channel and people have accepted it and so naturally I am feeling great. Many people thought the show will not work but it has become popular. It is definitely a big achievement for all of us.
I think a show like this will never come on television again. Most of the serials copy each other's script but Left Right Left has been a breath of fresh air.
This is my second daily soap and has given me more popularity than my first. It is a very versatile character and I really enjoyed playing it.
Having said that, I can't spend my entire life with LRL that's why I am leaving. Because of Zanjeer Amitabh become a star, but he did not continue playing the character. I think one year is more than enough. For me the journey of LRL is over. Every episode is memorable for me and I will miss my director Anshumanji, spot boys and co-stars."
Gazal Rai (Pooja) adds, "It was a really nice journey. I have learnt many things and have turned a year older! I came to know how the industry functions. I was literally a child when I entered and was protected by my friends and family. But after doing this show I have come to know facts about the real world. On July 10 we had cut a cake but unfortunately only I, Rajeev and Abhimanyu were present.
I have so many youth fans and they have started talking to me in mobile language. Whenever I go out, they talk to me exactly like I talk to everyone in the show. So now they have accepted my character and can connect to me. I enjoy working with Ali and Yudi."
Vikas Manaktala (Huda) says, "It is a very challenging character and I was really looking forward to it. I have learnt many things from my mistakes. I love action scenes so it helped me to polish that.
After I became popular one girl used to come to my house and stay outside for the whole day. It became tough for me so I had to call for help. Then my security guard kicked her away from there. She was quite obsessed and it was hard to handle that matter."
Left Right Left completed a year on July 10. It had taken a season's break during the cricket World Cup. Rajeev won the Best Actor award for the show. The team of LRL is going to organise a party next month.
