Govinda and his ‘Partners’

There was a time in the 90s when the Govinda-David jodi had become synonymous with comedy in Bollywood. Among the hits they gave included the No.1 series (Hero No.1, Coolie No.1), Sajan Chale Sasural and Raja Babu.

Now the duo is back together after a long gap with Partner, this time Salman also joining the gang. Govinda has been paired opposite Salman's girlfriend Katrina.

Salman and David have also been a successful combination having given hits like Biwi No. 1 and Judwaa. So let's see what magic the trio creates.

Salman Khan

It's no secret that Salman is trying his best to bring Govinda's sinking career back on track. That's probably the reason why Govinda had said in a recent interview that 'Dilip Kumar is my idle in acting, Kadar Khan in comedy but if I have select anyone as my 'Partner', it will have to be Salman!

This in not the first film time they are sharing screen space. Salman was seen in the Govinda, Juhi Chawla, Anil Kapoor starrer Deewana Mastana but only in a special appearance in the end of the film where he takes away Juhi from both of them.

Chunkey Pandey

In the early 90s Govinda and Chunkey Pandey made a good comic pair. Aankhen, also directed by David Dhawan, is their most memorable film together till date.

Taking about the company of Govinda, Chunkey said, "He is not only a superstar but also someone who keeps laughing even on the sets. As an actor, he always tries to improvise and even gives tips to his co-stars."

Chunkey still hopes that David will some day make Aankhen part 2 with him and Govinda.


Sanjay Dutt

Much before Munna Mania, Sanjay Dutt tickled the audiences' funny bone in combination with Govinda. The duo gave the hit Haseena Maan Jayegi and Jodi No.1 and though Ek Aur Ek Gyarah flopped, their combo still managed to raise a few laughs.
