Khushi : No , I don't .
Arnav : What crime did I do that you are punishing me ?
Khushi : You don't even know what you did ? You always leave bruises on my skin . You hurt my feelings . You make me cry every day ... Okay I'm used to it now but you always claim that you love me but you go to other girls to fulfil your needs ! Do you think I will talk to you after knowing that you are fooling me ? Betraying me ?
Arnav : Khushi , do you really think I will go to someone else ? Do you really think ?
He placed his palms on my cheeks . His eyes are shrieking out the fact that it was all a lie . But I heard it with my own ears .
I shoved off his hands .
Khushi : Look , I heard your conversation with Aman . So stop fooling me .
Arnav : I did that to fool you . I wanted you to feel , how it feels when you are rejected . I didn't know that it will hurt you so much !
Khushi : I hate you . Aap ajeeb ho !
Arnav : Voh tum mujhe keh rahi ho ? [ you are saying that ? ]
Khushi : I hate you . Hum aapse baat nahi karenge . Samjhe aap ? [ I hate you . I will not talk to you . You got it ? ]
Arnav : Mein dance karunga . Tab Mujhse baat karogi ? [ I will dance . Then will you talk to me ? ]
Khushi : Pehle karke toh dikhaiye . Phir sochenge . [ First do it . Then I will think about it ]
Arnav : Keep your words . You will have to talk to me .
I passed a sarcastic smile and went back to Manik's room .
Manik : You both are talking now ?
Khushi : I'm not going to talk to that daitya .
Arnav : What ?
Khushi : Suna apne ? Daitya ! Daitya ho aap ! [ You heard me ? Daitya ! You are a daitya ]
Manik : What is daitya Maami ?
Khushi : Monster in Bengali . Aur aapki maamu monster se kam nahi hai ! [ And your maamu is no less than a monster ]
He continued to smirk . Uff his smirk !!
******NIGHT IN GUPTA HOUSEWhen I told jiji , jiju and Nanhe ji about my decision of becoming an actress , they were more than happy . They encouraged me . But I'm scared . Am I right ? I don't even know the concept . I didn't hear the script . And what if I had to wear modern dresses ? What if I had to wear short dresses ?
Khushi : Hey Devi Mayya ! Why did I accept it ? Anyways I will not back off now . At least this is way better than facing Arnav .
I laid down on the bed . And slumber took over me .
******NEXT DAYI reached to Raizada Mansion sharp at 9 am .
I stood in front of the door . I was about to ring the bell but stopped .
I closed my eyes and joined my palms together .
Khushi : Hey Devi Mayya ! Please don't make me face that tras today . I don't want to see him or talk to him .
I opened my eyes only to find that daitya , I mean Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada standing in front of me . He is looking at me sternly .
Arnav : That's impossible Khushi Gupta . You will have to face me every single day .
He is blocking my way in , so I leaned to the door , moved sidewards and entered inside .
I saw Nanhe ji eating chocolate and waving me .
NK : Hey Strawberry ! Want some chocolate ?
Khushi : Sure Chocolate !
I stopped and looked at Arnav who is still at the door .
He is damn jealous .
I again turned to Nanhe ji . He gave me a piece of chocolate .
Khushi : You are so sweet Chocolate ! You care about me so much !
NK : Because you are my Strawberry !
Khushi : And you are my Chocolate !
" My ? " . Hey Devi Mayya . This one simple word can make my life hell . I turned around to see Arnav . He looked at us with his red eyes . He made his way out not before shutting the door hard .
NK : What happened to him ?
Khushi : Jealous !
NK : Of me ? But we are like best friends ! Like how Sheetal is to him !
Khushi : He will never understand that ! Acha forget him . What about the preparations ? Are they going on well ?
He nodded. I started eating my chocolate piece .
We helped Anjali Bhabhi in the preparations . Only 4 days left !
Khushi : Bhabhi what about shopping ? Jiji and jiju should look the best !
Anjali : Don't worry Khush . Chottey is looking after them . After all he owns a fashion house ! His best designers are designing Payal and Akash's dress . I'm sure they both will look amazing !
Khushi : Uff .. At least we have one task done .
Anjali : Haan Khush forgot to inform you . You need to give your measurements .
Khushi : Why Bhabhi ?
Anjali : Arrey buddhu ! How will your dress be stitched other wise ?
Khushi : No Bhabhi , I have many dresses .. I will wear one amongst them .
Anjali : Do you want Arnav to kill me ?
Khushi : Why would I ?
Anjali : Then give your measurements , or else your Arnav will kill me .
Khushi : Bhabhi please don't force me . Please .
She just nodded .
*********EVENINGNanhe ji and me are practising while Manik and Aisha were enjoying our practise session .
Khushi : Chocolate , stop . I'm tired .
We both stopped and collapsed on the big couch .
After some practise again , I decided to leave . Leave before Arnav gets back .
I bid adieu to everyone and entered the vast parking area of the Raizada's . I saw Arnav getting down from his car .
Khushi : Hey Devimaya ! Why are you always in favour of him ?
I muttered to myself . He too saw me . And of course a wide smirk appeared on his face . I rolled my eyes seeing him and his smirk .
We both crossed each other's path and he caught hold of my wrist .
Arnav : Why are you running away from me ?
Neither I replied or turned to see him . I don't know if this is going to wake up the green eyed monster or not . He can't control himself if I ignore him . And this is what is scaring me .
After a minute or so . He left my hand .
Arnav : How much ever you try , you can not ignore me Ms . Khushi Gupta . And I will dance in front of everyone and tell everyone what you are to me .
I actually couldn't register what he said , all I could think was , he isn't angry on me ! He didn't take it in a wrong way !
A small smile crept on my face unknowingly .
I got inside my car and saw Arnav who was still standing there . I shifted my gaze and started the car .
After a while I reached home .
*********NEXT DAYRakesh uncle called me up and informed that he is coming with the director and producer of the daily soap today .
I'm keyed-up now . I don't know everything is going on so swiftly . And I know this is all because of my decision .
Khushi : Why are you so stubborn Khushi ? Why do you have a problem in joining AR ? Don't you have some amazing friends there ?
I asked myself , pacing along my room .
Khushi : But that Laad governor , that tras will be there to knock off my life ! And instead of working under him and toe the line . Uff .. Khushi so your decision is not at all wrong ! Take a deep breath and follow your heart .
I took a deep breath . I heard a knock on the door .
Khushi : Hey Devi Mayya voh log agaye [ Goddess Durga , they arrived ]
After 2 minutes , Amma called me . I stepped out of my room . There are two women with Rakesh uncle . They look really gorgeous and stylish . I gulped down all my nervousness and uneasiness .
I passed a small smile .
Lady 1 : That's it .
She said out loud . I stocked still in my place .
Lady 1 : She is just perfect Rakesh ji . Natural beauty .
I joined my palms together .
Khushi : Namastey .
I greeted them .
Lady 2 : You are just perfect for the role . Want to listen to the script ? We don't want you to accept the role without knowing how she is .
I nodded with a small smile . They seem to be very friendly .
Amma : Sorry to interrupt , but would you start after a small prayer . Umm.. I mean we believe a lot in god so ..
Lady 1 : It's okay Aunty . We also believe in all this . So please let us start .
She said with a very bright smile .
Amma : Please follow .
Amma led them to the pooja room and I started arranging the thaali .
Rakesh uncle handed the script to my mother and she placed it near the idol . We prayed and again got back to the hall .
I offered the snacks to the guests .
Lady 1 : Okay , now sit here . Why are being to formal ? We are friends now ! We have to work together !
Lady 2 : Let me introduce ourselves . She is Nicky , our producer and I'm Meenu your director .
Khushi : I'm Khushi .
Meenu : So let me tell you the story followed by your role .
I nodded in approval . Amma and bua ji sat beside me .
She narrated the whole story . It is a love story . A very unique love story . I never heard of such a different love story . It is a story filled with all emotions and special importance is given to all relations .
Meenu : And the title is , ' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ? '
As soon as I heard the title , I felt a thud in my heart .
Khushi : Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ?
I muttered under my breath . This title suits my story with Arnav too . What shall I name our love ?
Meenu : Yes , and the sub title is , ' Naphrat paas aane na de , Mohabbat door jaane na de '
This is what our life is all about . Our hate nothing but our strong ego will not let us unite and our love will never let us go far .
My eyes became moist . Thinking about us , I mean me and my Arnav .
This story is amazing . It is very much unique than the shows which are currently running . Very much different .
Amma : It's an amazing concept and the story line is completely unique , something out of the box . I think it is amazing .
Nicky : Thank you Aunty . And that why we want Khushi to do this role . She is the only one who can do this . That is the main reason why we waited for these many years , this is our dream project .
Meenu : And coming to your role ..
She narrated about the role . The character relates to me a lot . So it's not such a hard task . And moreover , she is traditional just like me ! So , this would be fun to do .
Nicky : So will you sign this project ?
Khushi : I will .
Nicky : Thank you so much . Here are the papers go through them and sign if you agree to all the terms and conditions .
I went through the papers . I silently prayed Devi Mayya . And signed the contract . Now I have to shift to Mumbai .
Meenu : Khushi , since you are inexperienced we would like to participate in the workshops we are organising for you and the other new actors . And don't worry the main cast is already in the industry . So they will always help you .
Nicky : And we both are always there with you . So you don't have to worry . We will start shooting exactly after one and a half month . The work has already started . You have to be in Mumbai in two weeks . So you have to be quick in arranging everything .
My heart sank . I don't want to leave Delhi again . I love this place but moreover I don't want to leave this place because of ..
