People are ignorant:insecure Sonam hits backs at her critics

Sonam Kapoor is not just pretty and stylish; the actress is also very straightforward. She always speaks her heart out and has often been criticized for that. She says that people don't criticize her out of jealousy, but it's because they are ignorant.

Be it calling her contemporary Deepika Padukone "good girl gone bad", or recently commenting on her controversy with a leading daily, Sonam has been criticized for making such statements.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonam said, "Yes, I'm a moohfat. Everybody knows I have a foot-in-mouth syndrome ... like all five toes."

She further said that people don't criticize her out of jealousy, adding, "It is ignorance. There is a problem in India - we are ignorant - and that makes us backward, that's the only thing."

The "Raanjhanaa" actress also said that people shouldn't judge anyone until they see the full picture.

Sonam was last seen on the silver screen in the romantic story of a misfit "Khoobsurat". She is currently busy with Salman Khan-starrer "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".
