Padded up for the biggest biopic of 2015, Patna boy Sushant Singh Rajput has quite a challenging pitch to bat on. The reason: The actor has to play the role of India captain in M.S. Dhoni " The untold story. The first look of the movie's poster was tweeted on Thursday by Dhoni's better-half Sakshi Singh Dhoni. "Clearing out all those rumours being carried out past few days. It was all false.. Here you go ...BOOM !!!" read the tweet of Captain Cool's wife. Sushant, who has previously donned the hat of a cricketer in Kai Po Che! in 2013, expressed happiness over the first look of the poster. "I am very happy to play the lead role. I am Dhoni's super fan. But I never thought I would ever get an opportunity to enact on screen a person, whom I always admire. I want to thank my director for choosing me for the role. I cannot play like Dhoni but I would try my level best to act like him on the ground so that people can relate me with the role," said Sushant. Directed by Neeraj Pandey of A Wednesday and Special 26 fame, the film on the Indian skipper is set to hit theatres in 2015. The release date is yet to be announced. The poster shows Sushant's back, wearing Dhoni's "lucky" jersey number 7 and holding the bat in the captain's unique style on the shoulder. The bat has Dhoni's moniker "Mahi" written on its upper edge. In a yorker of sorts, weeks back there were rumours that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would oppose the biopic. But the BCCI in a statement said they will have no issues, until the film hampers the career of captain Dhoni. Sushant's father K.K. Singh, who is very happy with his son's filmy spell, said: "My son told me three months back that he had met Dhoni to take cricketing tips from him. He was working hard to perfect Dhoni's helicopter shot. I am waiting for the film to release. My son is the lead in the biopic on Dhoni. So, there's a sense of pride. The recent biopics on Milkha Singh and Mary Kom have received appreciation from across the country and abroad. Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to play Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a biopic called MS Dhoni - The Untold Story. And to play the part of India's cricket captain convincingly, he will have sister Mitu Singh helping him out.
While the actor has played a cricketer on debut in Kai Po Che, playing Dhoni will be a different ballgame. The film directed and produced by Neeraj Pandey begins shooting at year-end.
Says a friend of the actor, "He loves cricket. But his sister (Mitu Didi), who is now happily married with children, is the real cricket champ of the family. Dhoni and Sushant share a friendly equation and the cricketer will offer extensive inputs. When he will be seen playing on the field, he wants to look convincing as Dhoni. His sister can help him with Dhoni's technique."

After Milkha Singh and Mary Kom another iconic sports person Mahinder Singh Dhoni is poised for a celluloid treatment.
Contrary to moronic desk-manufactured stories claiming hallucinatory sources as saying that the Dhoni pic is snagged by Dhoni's greed, the film is all set to start shooting by year-end.
An official announcement about the Dhoni bio-pic will be made by the film's producer Neeraj Pandey(who also directs the film) in a fortnight.
"Everything has fallen into place. We are all set to make the film with Sushant in the lead. Reports claim that Dhoni has asked us for some staggering outrageous amount of money to shoot his life. The truth is just the opposite. Dhoni has asked us for no money to film his life," says a source close to the Dhoni project.
Interestingly Sushant played a cricketer in his movie debut Kai Po Che. His sisterMitu Singh is a national-level cricketer. And Sushant would be seeking her help to play Dhoni.
Says a friend of Sushant's, "He loves cricket. But his sister Mitu Didi who is now happily married with children, is the real cricket champ of the family. Sushant will be taking her help to play Dhoni."
Interestingly Ayushmann Khurrana who plays a footballer in Shoojit Sircar's 1911 is seeking help for his character from his brother who is a national-level footballer.
