reminds me of aditi paul...she too looked very plain intially...but the way she transformed was amazing...i think Smita can undergo the same transition...and she does sing very well...hope she does really well!!

BTW was nandita selected in top 28??? 😕

Smita is probably one of the oldest contestants (age 27) in the top 28. This year, most of the contestants are around 16-21 years old.
I didn't II1 in its entirety (some videos here and there) but maybe she is like Aditi.

Never mind, I do not even want to know. At least he said his depression went away after he heard Smita sing. He sure knows how to compliment people.

Anyway...

Smita Adhikari: The daughter of a musician who could not make it.
Smita drinks and eats 'sangeet' (not literally, of course)

Smita sang Aisa jadoo in her audition. 👏 Melodious and expressive voice. Her expressions while singing were apt for the song too. She sort of expressions remind me of American Idol's Lakisha.

I like her attitude as well: 'People will first listen to me, then they will see me.'

Its sad that many of us have not noticed her yet.
