When Shagun revealed that she was Mihir's sister, there was a pin drop silence in the hall. Ishita looked at Raman and his silence confirmed shagun's revelation. Mihir was the first one to react; he denied any kind of relationship with her. He went on saying that only sharing same blood did not make them siblings, not anymore after she chose the path six years ago. Shagun told him because of his stubbornness forced her taking desperate measures. She then described how she used Sanjana to plant a seed of doubt in Ishita's mind. She argued if Sanjana could be allowed to attend the ceremony then why she couldn't do the same. Raman was sitting on the pooja dais looking lost. He didn't utter a single word and his silence was piercing Ishita's heart into pieces. While the Iyers were absorbing the recent shock, Ishita couldn't think much about Shagun-Mihir relationship at that moment. Had it been revealed in any other way, she would have been disappointed or even angry on Bhallas and Mihir not to seem her worthy to share this information. But she was so preoccupied with the Sanjana thing; she was stunned now when she realized how she could believe a stranger but not her husband. She was snapped out her trance when she saw Mrs. Bhalla firing words towards a woman and the woman was none other than Mrs. Poornima Prakash! Poornimaji was not at her politeness personified avatar today, rather she was furious. "How can I leave my daughter among the filthy people like you? You people simply don't have any manners", Poornimaji retorted back. "Oh ji! Now we have to learn mannerism from you. Itne bure din bhi nahi aye hain humare. I told you to stay away from my family or I will..." , Toshiji couldn't complete her words before Mrs.Prakash started again. "I have come here to support my daughter and meet my grandchild. You have no right to keep her away from me. I'm her nani after all".

Iyers were shocked before but now they understood why Mihir had to disown his family. Ishita too understood the reason behind Mihir's not sharing the fact and Raman's support for him in this matter. She was astonished seeing the change of behavior from Poornimaji and felt disgusted with herself for being a part of Arora ladies game unknowingly. "Enough is enough!",Mihir finally spoke up cutting Mrs. Pralash's words. "Ishita bhabi, I've abandoned my family for a big reason and seeing my family here I hope you now all understand why I did so. I'm sorry that I did not share this fact with all of you but I'm too ashamed to acknowledge the fact that once I was a part of this family. After what Raman bhai and I went through six years ago, I did not want this ordeal to spoil my marriage ceremony once again. I apologize again if...". This time Mihika stopped him, "Mihir, you don't owe an apology to anyone. You don't need to be ashamed of what's beyond your control. In fact, I'm proud of you. Very few men could do what you had done". Though Mihika told this to Mihir, it was very evident from the body language of all the Iyers that they agreed with the each and every word Mihika uttered. " And aunty, it's better not to talk about rights on Ruhi. My Ishita akka is too innocent but I'm not. Where was your right when your daughter left 6 months old Ruhi for Ashok? Where were you then? Anyways, my fianc doesn't want you here and so do I. Please leave", Mihika told Poornimaji. Bhallas were impressed the way patakhha Mihika handled the whole situation. Arora ladies left the ceremony but not without giving a warning to Bhallas that this wasn't the end. After that everything turned normal again but Raman didn't talk to Ishita and Ishita didn't have the courage to look at him either.
