Sunny Deol has returned from the USA a happy man. Overwhelmed with the emotional response he got from the Indian diaspora there, the Deols have now decided to resurrect their Vijeta Films banner. In the next couple of months, they will launch a number of films that they will also star in. Sunny tells us more...

Post Apne, Dharamendra, Bobby and you will be seen in another film together.
Yes, but right now I can't give you a definite idea about the film. Apne has inspired us to revive our banner and we'll do so by the end of the year. We are looking at lots of projects starring the three of us together and solo, and will announce them in the next few months.

But yes, everything will be under our banner. Our fans in Vancouver (Canada) and San Francisco (USA) joked with us saying, 'You made us cry in Apne', and so we promised to make them laugh the next time.

Are you satisfied with how Apne has fared?
Yes. The film grossed Rs 6 crore in Mumbai in the first week, and almost $2 million worldwide. But what matters most is when people appreciate your film. Wherever we have gone, the warmth and love that has been shown to us is indescribable. That has inspired us to do more films together.

One has heard that Dharamendra has written a sequel to Sholay?
I'm not so sure about that.

Are you writing a script?
No. I have not written a script because I am not good at writing. I am on the creative side but putting it down on paper is difficult for me.

What's the best compliment you got abroad?
'You're the best!' Nothing registers beyond that (grins).
