Music composer and playback singer Annu Maliek is on cloud nine these days as his daughter Anmol Mallik is all set to make her singing debut as a lead playback singer in Satish Kaushik's forthcoming film Tere Sang and nephew Armaan Mallik has been signed up for a song in Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par.
When we contacted Annu he said, "It cannot be put into words the way I felt when I saw my daughter singing her first lead song. I was standing in front of her and saw her singing the whole song. Satish was very happy with her voice and was so impressed that he asked her to sing all the songs of the movie."
"Right now she is studying and is a student of the school of Ambanis. We want her to study first because education is very important but me and my wife are very happy to see her growing."
Tere Sang stars Sheena Singh and Ruslaan Mumtaaz. Anmol had also sung for Aishwarya Rai in Umrao Jaan but the song was picturised on Aishwarya's young character in the movie. Annu has himself composed the music for the movie. Anmol also sung for many films as child singer but this is the first time she will sing for a main lead. Tere Sang is a movie which also marks the debut of Sheena Singh, daughter of actress Sadhana Singh who became famous after Nadiya Ke Paar.
On the other hand, his nephew Armaan Mallik, son of Daboo Mallik (composer), is a class seven student. He sang for the recently released movie Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii and has now been signed to sing for the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy in the Taare Zameen Par. He also hosts a segment in the weekday show Antakshari - The Great Challenge and was also a Li'l Champs participant. He can sing in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and has also given his voice for many shows on Disney, Nickelodeon and other such channels.
These grandchildren of veteran music composer Sardar Malik are all set to show their talents which they inherited from him.
