It's the mark of a bonded slave. When Chakor was still in her mother's womb, she was mortgage because her grandfather, Bhuvan's papa, had gotten injured on his head after falling. Chakor's parents didn't have the money for his treatment so they went to Bhaiyaji to ask for money to get the grandfathers treatment. So Tejaswini, Bhaiyaji's wife, told them they'll get the money but they will have to mortgage their unborn child. Unfortunately Bhuvan, Chakor's papa, agreed so they got the money but it was too late because Bhuvan's father had died when they reached home. So when Chakor had born, they tattooed the mark on her wrist to show that she was the bonded slave of Bhaiyaji and Tejaswini, she is their property. Tejaswini told Kasturi that she can keep Chakor for 7 years but after she will have to send her to the Haveli because she's their own, hence you see Chakor in the Haveli.
I hope this helps you to get an idea of the story so far.
