Why dadi insults her DIL ?

I could not understand why the two good for nothing bahu do nothing in the house , they just roam around and Dadi the great ischappy with them but always insults Yuvraj's mom?

I hope she gets some sense soon to realize the worth of the two good saas bahu, Yuvraj's wife n mom.

Dadi doesn't like any1 besides her grandsons she doesn't like rags and menka either its just coz they fair that she is ok with them bt she knows that they are bad. And a very good questions I dnt get why she doesn't like her own dil

Dadi is your typical regressive family figure head just like every other serial has in Indian television. This one also has excessive pride, ego, she's beauty conscious too...and prefers males. I am sure if Suhani one day got pregnant with a male child, Dadi would accept her regardless of her complexion. Dadi is living somewhere in the dark ages, no pun intended.

Her own DIL is also just way too good. She has no courage to speak up...she's too nice for her own good so Dadi doesn't think she's worth anything. Yuvraj is also a good for nothing when it comes to defending his mom from his Dadi's relentless jabs.
