I'm shocked that it is raman who is taking the first steps towards making this marriage a real ne in every sense. I assumed that it will be ishita because she is more "open" of the two and raman comes with so much baggage. CV's dish out terrible tracks but they can also write some brilliant stuff. in this case, it is the subtly with which they show raman's desire to live this marriage like a normal one and just like us, even he seems frustrated with ishita's passive attitude. 😆

I dont know how long has it been since I have last done this, started a analysis post with a quote but thats the gist of things when it comes to IshRa now particularly Raman.

In my opinion he is the one who has changed the most in this journey so far... people have seen and noticed that as much as I have but the beauty of this show and its writing is... with time they dont let things stagnate but make em grow, change em little by little like how it happens in real life too when two people come together - of course they change each other, they affect each other but its a gradual process and not an instantaneous one also it depends on how open or closed off a person is... recently I have seen two people who have shown this change and both amazingly are the hotheaded ones of the duo - Raman and Mihika.

Recently when she came home after a blow she sent her Akka to talk to the man she trusts implicitly because somewhere down the line she was scared her temper may get the best of her right now... so she sent the one person she trusts implicitly is it not the influence of a usually calm level headed Mihir here she thought before acting?

In Raman' case the transformation happens with each day somehow and he progresses - his recent change is now in the way he addresses things - from Biwi ho tum meri and Meri biwi he has gone to Apne Pati and Tumhara husband... such a subtle change, so minute you might not even pay it any attention cos basically it doesn't change anything but in retrospect it changes a LOT - from being the one who wanted to proclaim ownership he now wants to be the one who is owned, the one who belongs to this woman - his wife.

He is amazed by this woman, he is awed by her and he is also driven up a wall by her actions BUT what makes the difference now is that when she does something even things he dislikes he supports her cos he knows a) she is very stubborn so better she keep him in loop, b) he is worried for her constantly and knows he has to be around to keep her safe and c) he knows she always, ALWAYS means well and does the right thing; like he knew why she got Shagun home that night, he hated it because he knows people don't understand nor sometimes deserve that goodness, that generosity.

When she stops him, when she protects him, his prestige - he sees this woman is protective of him, she wants and wishes well for him... but her actions where she is cool enough to put his ex in what is supposed to be their bed also makes him realize - she isn't possessive about him which hurts him.

The thing that somehow irks him the most is while she considers this home as hers rightfully she doesn't lay out the same kind of claim for him - he is just family to her... and he doesn't want that - he wants to be the most important person to her - in her life, in her heart and mind.

He has gifted this woman expensive things now - a saree and a gaudy necklace, cos in his mind that is something which works with women - it is what his experience has taught him... his ex left him because she wanted things of him which he couldn't afford... so now when he can he doesn't even have to think twice as he buys things for her... only now even this doesn't work...his ex would have started jumping around like crazy had he got those for her but his wife, Ishita... she doesn't give them much consideration.

With the necklace his plan backfired cos what to him was a gift where the pricetag was important - to her it was a gaudy thing... it annoyed him, angered him cos he expected thanks, appreciation instead he heard its a very gaudy thing that cost him too much - so in short plan failed.

When he cooled down a few days later he asks her on a bench when they step out at night was the gift really gaudy? And in her answer he learns while she appreciated the thought, the gesture - she didnt like the gift which is why this time around he decides to pay attention to her likes, to her tastes and gets her a saree which she HAD liked, all he wanted in return was to see her smile but alas he has to put his foot in his mouth and that has to result in sparks, NOT of those kind 😆

What irks him even more is she says she would pay him the amount of the saree...she is capable of buying it on her own, with her income but SINCE he was buying she refused to purchase a thing that would cost a bomb in a way as she is still not in that space where she would confidently do what any wife in her position might have done - buy as much as she wants esp when she knows hubby is gifting AND he can afford it... so that hurt him too.

Now last night he gives Mihir some advice since well this is the new RKB and he thinks feelings matter and so his lil bro should not be slogging but be romancing his fiance esp since they underwent such a huge trial in their relationship AGAIN, and this time around Mihir completes the task his Bhai had handed him over in a convo a few weeks back - the dekha dekha convo. He replies to his Bhai that he should also follow his own advice after expressing his surprise that his Bhai can know something about a thing called romance, something he says he is better at than even Mihir. So of course the shadow who knows him all too well pushes the right buttons and also performs his duty.

Which of course brings to Raman' attention the one thing he did NOT try to do for his wife as of yet that would perhaps finally gain her attention, make her realize what exactly does now her husband feel for her - he decides to romance and woo his wife, serenade her the way a lady is supposed to but this being RKB who still has one minor issue - of his ego which is courtesy of his apprehension that she may reject his advances should he actually go all SRK on her 😆 he has to say he would pick her up which would bring a smile on that sadi shakal - I really don't like the term - but isn't this the same person for whose smile he could resign in a moment - RKB you idiot at least in privacy, when talking to yourself call her beautiful unless you work on your vocabulary things wont improve my boy... rem a man falls in love with what he sees, a lady with what she hears 😳

So coming back to the issue. he drops by to surprise her and thinks he would take a snap of her shocked, surprise expression... someone really wants just an excuse to take someone' pics now doesn't he? To make her smile while she is crying or to use the pretext that he wants ammo to tease her... when he merely wants to be able to look at someone whenever he wants 😉 but of course when do things go as planned wifey spins a googly his way and asks him about a girl and there he forgets all about the snap but BUT there is a moment where he stops to admire her just a brief one since she says she is genuinely surprised to see him... so yeah he is getting there... not completely but slowly and I cant wait to see how things go from here... one thing is for sure... this man has come a long way from where he begun...

From a man who was ruffled at the mere sight of his ex, who would blow steam when he saw her with her beau today he is a man whose center of the world has shifted to his wife, to the woman he is in love with and is scared of admitting it... and what could prove it more than the fact that recently his ex was brought to his home and bed by his wife and he didn't even want to enter the space so long as she was around, he orders his wife to take his clothes out for himself as he doesn't even wish to be in a space where she is.

EK' movie EV has an awesome soundtrack and somehow these lines from one of its songs Zaroorat so fit here in my opinion

He has known this darkness for so long but now he has known light in his life and the return of this darkness which was all there to him and his world once ... it makes him feel like an outsider, he can view that darkness but not really associate himself with it in anyway... to him it is as foreign as could be as much as an alien he has become to it. This man who abhorred anyone' company for so long, who would seclude himself from the world especially in the dark of the night...today when he returned to that space again where there was no one in his vicinity that he might look upon as the last thing before he goes to sleep or the first thing as he wakes up... he couldn't take it, even that solitude seemed to mock him, something which he picked for so long now he can't be a nomad he was for so long... he has a home and that is with her, by her and hence... he says he wants her, he needs her but of course since he is still unable to find that part of himself which can voice that thing which she would need to hear - his self-inflicted punishment continues. 😳

I hope I made sense with the interpretation of the song and my post 😳 the news of the shift has me in a tizzy

Actually when you started posting, i was not getting you rpoints bt this post matches my conclusions.I am sad because of Ishita. I dont think she si feeling 10% of what Raman is feeling for her.She is not insecure abt him but Raman is so insecure, sensitive. I cant digest all these.Raman is giving so many hints to her and also doing so many things in action but our madaam is nto getting anything and still belives Raman loves Shagun, he is not over his past , veri good,,, i have read your posts expalining Ishita but honestly i am not convinced at all.She voluntarly agreed to marry Prateek, so will it be Loveless marriage? whats the difference between Raman and Prateek? whe she is not feeling anything for Raman? No ownership , no insecurity no jelousy no possesivesnes bang on..

I am so sad to see and read all these, there is one YHM epiosde in my mobile which i watch daily like medicine , March 10 wala,, That Ishita after getting Ramans chits was so cute, that hope desire , shyness 😊

Ishita was there but after accident case she reverted herself to shell again. Perhaps a sudden jolt is all she needs now.
