Relationships ... I would've loved if the word RISHTA would have come somewhere in this serials title ... sigh ...
When u sit back & think of this serial .. clearly this serial was about custody .. then why the DECPETIVE title of "yeh hai mohabbatein" ... was a question that I could never understand ... Balaji serials have always had BANG ON TITLEs .. but this one I cudnt quite understand ...
Have read numerous people on this forum who asked .. what the hell is this track all about ... Ok here goes .. the last track of YHM was about marriage ... this track of YHM is about its title ... this is what was explained to us in the last 2 episodes of the show ...
Why was last track about marriage .. coz its at the end of that track that these 2 realised that they are ACTUALLY MARRIED TO EACH OTHER ...& not to SIRF RUHI... they were in a relation but were working as silos which was not possible ... to be in a relation each spouse has to become the STRENGHT of the other ...which is what we got at the end of the last track .. a couple JOINED IN HOLY MATRIMONY ... finally😳
Now lets look at the current track .. its starts with the realization that as a married couple they need to spend quality time with each other .. a relation which was wrought with so much tension from the word go .. needs to RELAX .. & gently flow now .. the picnic .. the care .. the lunch ... the discussion .. the worry for simmi .. the working together on simmi problem .. all show a relation which is now a MARRIAGE ...
SO is it any wonder the equation which went thru a drastic change just a couple of days back ... will try to look for new Horizons to conquer ... & lets remember guys ..ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY .. hence this relation aint becoming ... coochie coo that early .. its needs to grow .. it needs to settle .. it needs to nurture ... then the Love becomes a comfortable feeling ...

So Raman said I love you to Ishita .. once again .. (sigh) ... this time he managed it in 2 languages ... English & Hindi ... hmmm interesting when u think about it ... bas ab Punjabi aur Madrasi mein bolna baaki hai ... ( samajhdar ko ishara kaafi hai) But But But .. was the I LOVE YOU important at all .. or his gesture & what he spoke along with the I love You that was important ...
He emphatically refuted the I LOVE YOU ISHITA ... but what he dint take back ... was the fact that he CARED .. even as he said that care shone out of him ... & the words he dint take back were ... " Hum dono shayad ek dusre ke liye hi bane hai .. isiliye humare zindagi mein aur koi tik nahi paaya" ( we are probably made for each other .. hence no one could sustain in our lives) To me this sealed the deal ... the dialog of YEH HAI MOHABBATEIN ... this was the REAL I LOVE YOU .. which he did not take back ...
Now pause on this dialog ... & focus on Ishita's face .. there is a slight nod ... there is acknowledgement to this statement ... they both did not refute this ... they both did not deny this .. they both acknowledged this ...
2 people coming from a BROKEN RELATION .. both have been witness to "relations do not last" ... today there is a firm belief that THIS RELATION IS FOREVER ... WE ARE SOUL MATES ...
Now when u look at this scene with this lens ... the I LOVE YOU makes sense doesn't it ... this follows the track of Marriage ... they are married & finally they pledge "forever .. till death do us part" to each other ... finally they acknowledge they are SOUL MATES ... Now what is the need for an I LOVE YOU post this I say ??? probably to appease us romance hungry souls ...
WHAT IS The I love You confirmation???? I love you confirmation from both these people is simply ... a confirmation of the DESPERATE PASSION they feel for each other .. ... lets go back to the dialog ... BIJLI TO GIR HI CHUKKI HAI ... aisa raha to BAARISH BHI HO JAAYEGI ...
Bijli being love ... Baarish being passion ... there is no doubt in their minds about love ... its how fast the passion overflows ... how soon the relationship status changes from PURE TO PASSIONATE ...

that's the story of ishita & raman .. they got married .. they were TIED together in a relation which bound them to each other ... they both got what they wanted from it .. RUHI ... Ruhi was the tie that bound them together ...
Thru the course of several months .. the dynamics changed ..& what we got was a BOND .. a bond which was SOUL deep which developed between the 2 ... a trust .. a mutual understanding .. a mutual respect ... so from a tie it became a BOND .. today its this BOND WHICH TIES them ... that's the evolution of the love story of Raman & Ishita ...
Well thot this post will be about something else .. but kya Karen our leads are like magnets u cant help get attracted to their story ...
In yesterdays episode ... Mihika took a bold step .. what was shown to us was a gross manipulation from the side of Ashok Khanna to get her to MODEL ... now lets pause firstly on this ... was ASHOK to ask Mihika to become the MODEL for the saree client would she have agreed ???? just a day before her "ambition" was established ... so dear Ashok Khanna .. as usual u gloat when there is no need to gloat ... had he asked her to become a model for the saree client & she would've taken up the assignment ... hence there is no HESITATION in her BEFORE SHE PICKED UP THE CHALLENGE ... her only thot was a career change impacts Mihir ... she needed to bring him up to speed on the same ...
Now lets pause for a second here ... Mr. Ashok Khanna ... he said the other day to param .. I have engaged raman for so long with my talks ... he said it with a smirk on his face ... OH well they say gloating aint ever good for anyone ... specially not for Ashok Khanna ... The "dumb blonde" ( I use the term very lightly for him) ... actually did not get the fact that HE IS FOCUSSED ON RAMAN ... RAMAN IS FOCUSSED ON WINNING & GETTING AHEAD ...
Ashok Khanna was already ahead ... his focus being Raman ... has pushed him back .. made him get disaster after disaster ... while raman who is only focused on WINNING .. is actually getting his WINS ... but whose to make Ashok realize this ...
So dumb blonde ... thinks he has Mihika's measure ... cant blame him .. the last experience of the woman specimen he had was Shagun (another ditzy blonde) .. he thinks Mihika is ambitious & her ambition will make her bend to his will ... but what is the big difference is ... Mihika is ambitious but she is righteous .. she wants to excel by herself .. she aint looking for a sugar daddy to support her .. had Ashok Khanna paused for a bit .. he would've realized Mihika could've taken the easier way out & worked for Raman's company ... but she chose to work on her own merit ...
The other night ... Shagun was appeased with a diamond set .. that's the woman ashok deals with ... a woman who will turn a blind eye to anything as long as she GETS WHAT SHE WANTS ... but the game changer is that the IYER sisters aint like that ... YES there are dark clouds which surround the good .. but dark clouds have one speciality .. they cant SUSTAIN ...
Mihika & Mihir's relation had survived the biggest hurdle ... the hurdle called Raman Kumar Bhalla ... Raman was manipulating ... quasi blackmailing Mihir to end his relation with Mihika ... but at the end of it ... Mihir's dedication & true love won the day ... he stood up & claimed his woman ... it was Mohabbatein which won that day ... Its now the turn of Mihika ... she will be manipulated .. the relation will come up for question once again ... but like Mihir .. will Mihika stand up to claim her mohabbatein ... ( My money is on Mihika)
Now for the lovely cute couple ...ok for want of any other name ..lets call them the "JI" couple ( have borrowed this moniker from the KosPints post) Romi & Sarika ... a fledging relation is developing here ... it's the first flush of a crush ... but dark clouds seem to meander over them as well ... Yes ROmi was a bad guy .. doing a lot of bad in the past ... yea he has changed over & become a new leaf ... BUT BUT BUT ... where is his redemption ... This is the guy who callously tried to ruin a young girls life ... insulted a young girl .. yes he apologized ... but did he redeem himself ... NO ...
To redeem urself ... & to purge oneself .. one has to come face to face with goodness ... once again .. 2 broken people are coming together ... both with sordid pasts ... for a mohabbatein to develop ... they both need to get redemption for their pasts ... both need to purge their pasts ... hence the advent of Param in the equation ...
So while at one end 2 young couples are going to have a tough struggle to sustain the "mohabbatein" ... the ahem "mature" couple are having a tougher time sustaining their BLOWN COVER .. of ... " SIRF RUHI KE LIYE" ...
Is it any wonder that the makers of the show called it ... "YEH HAI MOHABBATEIN" ... brilliant I tell u ...
