In real life too, this is the case. So it is also the case in serials.

Tanveer thanks God often.

Razia takes God's name.

As does Seher. I know I will get hate for this, but she today thanked Bappa for being able to cheat a street vendor of a bit of money.

No she's not a villain like the others. And I have no issues with her being a criminal or conwoman and not being a negative character/villain. But just because she thanks Bappa and talks to him often doesn't mean what she does is okay.

Let the brickbats come. I haven't even finished watching the episode.

Yeah that wasn't nice and well seher is not nice and all but I didn't really think she would cheat a small dhaba owner for as small a sum as it was.
And the dhaba owner so readily gave her the money 😳

It fits with her characterization. She's always thanked Bappa. And just because she talked to the Ganesh idol and always thanks Bappa, people think she is doing all this with certain principles. True she may have principles, such as don't murder, etc etc. And she very well gives back some (notice I said some) money to charities and all. She's not the only criminal to do this, though.😆 Plenty do.

It fits with her characterization because she saw Rehan give money to the Orphanage. But still her goal is to con him of money as well. And there are other things too from the beginning, which hinted to this. She loves money, that is her characterization. I have no issues with it. A serial heroine can be grey too, why just hero? But I'm just saying...

Taking and thanking a Deity doesn't mean much. Tanveer takes God's name and thanks God too. She woes when things are not going right and asks God why, and when things go right, she thanks and says God opens other doors for her.

I have always felt like that about her.
But since everyone were so against accepting that asya's daughter can be grey I didn't want to get bashed here for saying out loud. I found it actually funny that we can accept that Tanveers son can be good but asyas daughter cant be bad just because she has their genes. Actually the greatest part of our character is built up due to nurture and not nature.
Anyways glad to see someone who agrees with me.

I found it really petty...conwomen should have standards too 😆 .Or may be I just thought Seher would, like when she came to Bhopal she gave the driver the money he had earned...and it does not even make sense.Seher always manages to steal such large amounts of money, why does she feel the need to rob a small business man for 460 rupees? Or may be she gets a kick out if it

@bold. That's it right there. I was wrong in saying she loves money. Yes, she loves money. But it's not just money. It's the kick she gets out of doing it. The thrill. I was really annoyed with her and the kheer😆 for I guess somewhat a similar reason though I myself can't really explain it.

She's a good burglar, and she's sophisticated in her techniques. But she herself is not sophisticated. She is somewhat crass, I guess is the word to use. This is not surprising, because she's a street kid. So of course she would be like this.

I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing what they showwed. Good because as I said, it goes with some of her previous actions. Bad because well, she cheated a vendor for a small amount of money which is not so small to him, but is to her. Good because well, it shows that just because she's shown going, "Bappa, Bappa," doesn't really mean much. I never thought it did from the start, but this cements it.

@SheAish, yeah ditto.

I think they are taking it too far. She was not shown as petty before. She always goes after rich people. Now she will steal from anyone?? What sort of con women is this? She is not a petty thief after all?

Yes all these criminals and their connection to God?? What is the deal with that??

I didn't like it too. It's so true, they always show the negative characters thanking god or gloating about giving them a golden chance...

Thought she had some standards, but no. I agree with you about her being crass. I thought that from the kheer episode. And I agree she def gets a kick out of conning people. I thought at the start she only cons rich people, but I guess that's not true.

She is sorta grey in that way...

All her antics are glorified on this forum though...

I secretly think its leading to a backstory. SHe must have had such a desperately bad penniless time as a child, and taken to praying at a temple, after which her fortunes turned.
So childishly or rather simplemindedly, she thanks her Babba everytime money comes her way, thinking God is sending help her way...

It doesn't excuse it, though.
Swindling that dhaba owner was horrid. Petty.
