Suchitra's character is so stupid and annoying that one day Dev will proudly say, " Maa, mujhe jo mila hai tujhi se mila hai" and he will be the only son who will literally mean it.

Btw Arnav Goenka was killed or not is not known as of now. Its just an assumption. We are presuming his death was planned so that Dev's position in the Durga's team becomes strong enough to stand opposition from his family.
