Lost in transition Says the actor, who is currently in San Francisco for the premiere of Apne, "It's been such a pain. I lost my suitcase which had the clothes I was to wear at the premiere.Apart from my outfits, all my accessories were also in there, so I had nothing to wear. We lodged a complaint with the airport authorities at San Francisco and left for the press conference in the afternoon. There was no time to buy new clothes before the event so I had to wash what I had worn on the flight." However, Bobby went shopping in the evening. "I picked up a shirt and blazer, but then the funniest thing happened. A fan who attended the premiere shouted out to me from the crowd saying that he had the exact same blazer too. I'm happy someone was happy!" Apne gets its due Now Bobby is a happy man again because he got his lost suitcase three days later. "It feels great to be wearing one's own clothes again. Barring losing my luggage, it has been a great experience in the USA. The people in Vancouver and San Francisco loved Apne. Some people were telling us that we fulfilled their dream by coming together in Apne as a family." Does he feel that finally his dad Dharmendra has got his due? He says, "It's not about getting his due, but more about his heart being in the right place. In the process, he has done some films that people didn't like but Apne is a film that his fans have loved. It's a family film and what my father is all about." |
