After taking a break from films as he wasn't getting the right kind of roles, actor Suniel Shetty is not exactly twiddling his thumbs. After many other filmstars, Suneil Shetty too made his debut on the small screen with the health based reality TV show Biggest Loser Jeetega on SaharaOne. Talking about the experience on tv he states, "I was very keen on doing it from the moment I heard the concept, which is to show people how to lose weight within a stipulated time period. I always wanted to promote health and related subjects in our country and this is a great chance as nothing can be bigger than this show as far as health is concerned," exclaims Suniel. The actor has signed a three-month contract and says he is glad that he did. "The show is picking up and the enthusiasm of the contestants is unbelievable! They are willing to do anything to keep themselves fit." Suneil too lost weight and has become fitter for the show. "I lost about two kilos and these days I am doing weights, but being on the show has taught me lots more about nutrition, fitness and health- that I didn't know." So, is he enjoying doing this reality show and being on tv? "Reality shows rock and there is a whole lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that no one ever sees. Our show is different because it is bringing a change in lives of people and their outlook too — even if they are voted out this experience will help them forever. But working on tv again isn't something I am going to continue. I took on this show because it was health based tomorrow if I got something related to sports I might, but no serials for me. I'm happy doing films," he says. Deccan Chronicle |
