SARKAR sequel to commence in Hyderabad today

The much awaited sequel to Ram Gopal Varma's 2005 box-office success SARKAR, is all set to commence in Hyderabad, later today (Wednesday). Ramu (as he is affectionately called) has been in Hyderabad for a while now, scouting locations for the sequel. There is a lot of excitement about the film as this will be for the first time that the three Bachchans, Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya (Rai), will be essaying major roles in any movie.

As per our sources, there were speculations about the shooting of the sequel being postponed because of all the controversies (some of them media created) that seem to be hounding the Bachchan family. And that is why Ram Gopal Varma has decided to commence the filming without any announcement or fanfare.

While on the sequel, it has not been titled SARKAR RAJ, though it was one of the titles that cropped up during a brainstorming session. The movie is expected to be wrapped up and released before the year end.

Wow I am so looking forward to this movie, coz of the Abhi/Big B pairing, but is Ash the right choice???? I mean can she really fit in Ramu types of films???? Lets see hope she doesnt let us down. But I am all up for it as it stars Big B and its Ramu's film 😳

^^^i too wondered will Ash be able to do a good job in a dark political drama..Lets hope she repeats a Guru act(read a great performance!) 😃 here too

I too am so excited coz its a Ramu film he just rocks man and It has Big B and Abhi dynamite pairing! 😃 also I completely loved Sarkar it is one of the best films I have seen! Have huge expectations from sequel hope it is as good😃

Yeah I completely agree yaar, guru was one of Ash's best performance. When dhoom 2 came out, man did I really hate her performance in that movie, and I thought this women can never act as good as her earlier performances namely Devdas-I thought she did a great job in that movie, HDDCS-again she performed well there. But when guru came along, I started to like Ash all over again 😆 , that was one performance she can be proud of 👏 that was a knockout performance by her which I really didnt expect, she shocked me in a good way 😃 Even though it was a abhi movie all the way, she still managed to leave her mark, that too in powerpacked performance by abhi 👏 With Ash only certain directors can bring the best out of her, SLB, MR, and I hope ramu will join the list.

And yeah yaar absolutely loved Sarkar, and specially Big B in that movie. I have huge expectations from the sequel also, well ramu has finest talent in bollywood (Big B/Abhi) at his disposal, also the biggest stars he could have. One can never scrutinise ramu's expertise, I have always loved his movies, one that I really loved was non Big B starrer was Company, Ajay/Vivek rocked that movie. Im so glad Big B has joined the Ramu camp, with both these together will sure see some great cinema.

Ash was completely rockin in HDDCS, Devdas she was good but I thought it was very overrated, But then Provoked, Choker Bali, Shabd and her performance in Guru was mindblowing. Actually if u scrutinise u will see she was one step ahead of Abhi in the film(dont kill me for this I am not at all undermining his performance in the movie-He was completly rocking the best!!! 👏 👏 👏 ) and it was a out on out Abhi movie still if u see, Ash's role was limited, Abhi's role was a very dynamic and intimidating one. To leave a mark in a much smaller and subdued role is much more difficult to do than ecel in a big central character actually.
which is why I am bowled over by her performance..I never thought she cud give such a subtly beautiful performance.
I am hoping she does the same in Sarkar 2 too 😃 fingers crossed!!! Ash plz u have the "Bachchan" prestige to hold up keep the flag flying as high as ever! 😃

Big B-I think Sarkar is one of his best ever performances losing out the number 1 place only to Black, Nishabd, Deewaar. His performance as the restrained, controlled, silent man emoting thru his eyes and expressions...he was magnificent in one word!!! and Abhi too was sooo good one of his best performances too

I am soo excited coz Big B abhi and RGV have created dhoom once and now ash added u cant go wrong!!! 😳

PS: I too loved Company btw. RGV is rockin 👏 👏 one of the best directors of today

I know what you mean about devdas, I can see where your coming from, there was no scope for Ash to produce histrionics, as the role didnt require such impact. But what she was required to do I think she performed really will in accordance to the requirement of the role. Thats why I rank devdas as one of her fine performances, and also she really matched Madhuri in every scene they were together, whether they were dancing, shown in emotional scene, or there intial hostility towards each other, Ash 👏 was really on par with Madhuri . Again that was a pleasant surprise 😃 . I mean Madhuri 😳 is a legend in her own right and matching her, sure requires exceptional performance, and she just did that 👏

Provoked, Choker Bali, also raincoat are some of her fine performance, the latter role required restraint performance, and she really did produce just that.


And all the films you have listed that lose out to his performance in Sarkar, are all his own films 😆 He is only competition to himself no one else, and he has pretty healthy competition as in each film Big B is growing and producing some cracking cinema. I bet if Big B was asked till date what was his personal best performance, he wouldnt be able to answer it 😆 . He would be so perplexed and would be lost for words😆 , as there are so many of top class performances by him 😆 😳

P.S. And yeah now that she has the Bachchans beside her Im sure some hints, suggestions here and there would prove supportive and encouraging for Ash to produce top-notch performance in Sarkar and her other projects.
