Whom do you see when you look into the mirror? Yourself , of course. But we do know that one difference that would find place in physics. Your reflection has everything on the opposite side. Your left hand is his/her right hand. Your right mole is his/her left mole.Right?
Myrah is Paro's reflection and it cannot be denied - and we are not just talking about the face here. Myrah reflects Paro's soul, heart and beauty. Yet, Myrah's attitude is different to Paro's. Paro was as placid as a lake and Myrah is as gurgling as a waterfall. That is the OPPOSITE difference when we say that Myrah is Paro's reflection ( soul twin is a better term, though).
Rudra mirrors his reactions to Paro to Myrah. The freeze-at-sight meeting, the initial hatred and judgmental attitude , the forceful restriction to the house, the warfare and the hesitant care. Rudra's life with Paro was different than what he has with Myrah- but his responses are the same. Its almost as though he is mirroring his life with Paro to Myrah. If there was a superlative word for Deja Vu , it would find its place here.
Paro had learnt to handle Rudra with brattitude and motherly compassion. Myrah is learning to handle Rudra with a combination of reprimanding and counseling. The handling is synonymous in a way and that is why Rudra's reactions are the same. Today, when he demanded forgiveness in his usual sulking and bratty style, Myrah reprimanded him while Paro had thrown a kiddish fake tantrum. Why? Paro wanted to feel special and Myrah is making a counter demand to feel respected as Myrah.
Its almost like Rudra-Paro-Myrah are reflecting each-other. Past, present and future threatening to merge together. Rudra is reliving a life that was - brick by brick. He has accepted and understood that Myrah is not Paro - but she is Paro's soul twin, her Deja Vu embodiment and that is why the two are merging for him. Myrah does not want to be Paro , but looking at the picture objectively, she is Paro in spirit and heart.
If you were to keep your prejudices and judgment aside, and if this was a story in a book... you would actually feel its something surreal... re-emphasizing the truth that the universe does have a tendency to restore whatever it has taken away.
Mirrors were always such an integral part of RR. WOW.
To me, it no longer matters if Paro is Myrah or Myrah is Paro.The way the story has shaped up, they are cut from the same soul cloth and they have come from the same place .
