There was also Pankaj Udhas who did Ghazal type pop music and videos. Jagjit Singh too did as well, but his was less peppy from what I remember. Pankaj Udhas had a a good number of peppy pop songs.

he is not an indipop singer but i loved his aur ahista track.that song is like hauntingly beautiful and i miss falguli too.

Thats why i said that i had the best childhood .everything be it the songs or cartoons they are awesome .yes we didnt have cable till i wad in 11th std phone kya hain woh v pata nahin tha whereas todays kids have everything but kuch bhi danger ka nehin hain ajkal.cricket ke nam pe its 3 hr movie .gane ke nam pe pathetic lyrics n music char bottle bhodka anyone and cartoon ke name pe oggy.shi
