I agree with Atominis.
Dr. Dayal wanted to pacify himself that his daughter is still alive and therefore he helped Nitya to recover from the accident. He has no concern for Payal and if some he has is all because of Durga.

The introduction of Dev killed the main plot and it also killed Dayal's character. Prior to this, Dayal was Krishna to Durga but as soon as he arrived, Dayal changed his mind. He deliberately confused Durga that revenge is a futile thing to ask for. Instead, get married and start life afresh.

How does he consider Durga to get married to Dev anyways? As Durga or as Nitya ? Because if she reveals she is Nitya even to Dev, Sakshi will know it sooner or later . If she marries him as Durga than there is a probability that Dev shall never love her considering he is hopelessly in love with Nitya.

If not Dev than whom ? Neil ? Even Neil has no idea who Durga is, isn't it ? Marriage at this point to anyone means faking her identity and he is all okay with it.

Dayal is one confused chap. He needs to clear his stand point. One typical beti ka baap he is. " abhi kuch din revene revenge khel le gudiya, fir to sajan ghar hi jana hai"

Coming to think of it, all EHT characters have been changed to ensure a love angle in the story except for Shaurya and Rajnath. Rajnath never was interested in family politics. He calculates everything and every relation in terms of money and he is constant with his philosophy. As for Shauyra, he was always a sick animal who got away with anything because of his mother. Everyone else has only gone dumber with time.

I wont be surprised if one fine day Shaurya ends up saying, " waise ye kahani to shart se shuru hui thi par ab main tumse saccha wala love karta hun Durga"🤢

No hopes left for this thriller. Its no more a thriller anyways.

Don't you think Dayal is already doing a lot for Payal. This is his goodness that he is trying to help her. I don't think he made the plans, he just supported Durga even when she was wrong or is wrong. Every time she plans something he is like what are you going to do now. Yes he is not perfect because as a father he should stop his daughter from makng mistakes but then Durga is too obsessed with her revenge that she won't even listen to him and it's proved as he wanted her to get married to Dev and she wanted Shaurya. 😆 About letting Dev know about Payal, Durga brought him to her. She and Dev are responsible. About having guards yes that was really stupid, they should have someone for the protection.

Dayal is biased to Nitya who feeds his delusion of Durga being alive.

It was his emotional blackmail due to which Durga foolishly introduced Dev to Payal's place.

She could have made them meet elsewhere too like a park. But was foolish to give him access to her safe haven. All due to Dayal's drama.

I don't see Durga as the only planner. Dayal's manipulations began the day he changed her face and name!

Obviously he would be biased to Nitya/Durga. We don't even know if he knew about the girls before the surgery. I mean he hit Nitya and gave her his daughter's face. He sees his daughter in Nitya. Can we blame him ? He is emonionally attached to Nitya.

Durga herself wanted Dev to meet Payal after Payal recognized Dev and after getting to know that he is innocent.

Dayal helped Durga in plannings but he can't be the main planner, can he ? Why does he always ask what's next to her then ? Why does she always changes the plans and he does what she asks him to do ?

Of course I blame Dayal for being delusional, manipulative and biased. Why give Nitya, Durga's face? Why this discrimination between her and Payal just on basis of fake face? He took Payal in his care just for Nitya. No feelings himself. He is just a distant caretaker to her.
Double standards of a selfish, delusional man.

You guys are really judgemental
my own dad, my blood, the one who made me abandoned me when I was 1

and you guys friggin think Dayal is a bad guy and judge him because he cares for Durga more?

Ofcourse he will love her more, she looks like his very own daughter and yes blood indeed is thicker than water

I Mean if your daughter commits suicide and you feel guilty about it, then you meet a girl who looks exactly like your daughter and you are a very rich person and the girl needs help

wouldn't you have helped her? Dayal has basically adopted both of them however he likes Durga/Nitya more and another reason for that is Nitya is mentally not stable enough to talk/convrse so ofcourse we don't see them communicate as much as Dayal-Durga

Dayal is a better father than many real fathers in this cruel world
