Durga will salvage the situation by stating something about a friend or someone close to her being in trouble. And everyone will believe it; except for Sakshi, who has a hawk's eye on her.
This would be a good wake up call for Durga, because she had let her guards down. Although I have been disappointed by Dev's character, I still find Durga the reason behind Payal's current plight. She should either have told Dev the whole truth about what happened to Payal (nothing else) or nothing at all. She, instead, fed him half truths and stories, which was bound to make Dev go ahead and start digging. And she claims to know him (as Nithya), so she knew that he wouldn't be able to hide from Sakshi for too long. So, whatever Dev's faults may be, this is on Durga.
Sakshi has lost any ounce of dignity or shame she may have had. To make a victim undergo the trauma again, as if one gangrape wasn't enough, is too hard to digest. I cannot see ANY woman, be it for her son, her husband or God himself, act that cruelly and ruthlessly.
Although I do agree that Durga needs more allies, I think that is the difference between the two women. Durga has to be far more careful with associating herself with people, Sakshi less so. Durga has the financial resources that come with being Dr. Thakur's daughter, however Sakshi has every sort of resource to her disposal, not just because of being a Goenka, but because of the fear she generates. Just look at the reactions of that doctor who was in cahoots. Everyone knows that when the time comes, she won't blink twice before throwing anyone under the bus, be it a friend or an enemy. Durga on the other hand is and cannot be as ruthless as that. Sakshi has minions. Durga needs friends. There's the difference.
